A public meeting was held on Tuesday, June 5th at the Badin Inn, Badin NC. Representatives from NCDENR, USEPA and Alcoa presented information about the Badin Lake Sediment Remediation Project. Approximately 100 community members attended the meeting. Project representatives were also available to discuss the Regional Fish Study, Badin Operations Redevelopment, FERC Relicensing, and the Badin Operations RCRA Corrective Action Program. Community members engaged project representatives in question-and-answer dialog, primarily regarding the Badin Lake Sediment Remediation Project, as well as the other topics related to the Alcoa site.
