New Camera Looks Good

The new camera has been online for a few days now and we are getting good feedback from many of you. We saw both parents in the nest a couple of evenings ago just after the camera switched to infrared mode and then again the next morning after it switched back to day mode. We are still working to get the audio feed connected to the stream. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Old Camera Down

The old camera is now down. Our electricians disconnected it just before 11am CST this monring. It will likely be at least tomorrow before the new camera will be mounted. We are hoping to have the new camera online before the end of the week.

Camera Going Offline

It looks like the old camera will go offline today and we will be off for the day and maybe into tomorrow as we install the new camera. Timing will depend a little on weather. If the rain holds off today, they should be able to get started. We will keep you posted.

Testing Complete

The off-line testing of the new camera is complete. The old camera is back online for a few more days. We are hoping to find a window that works for installing the new camera either late this week or next week. The local forecast for rain the next couple of days means it will be Thursday or Friday at the earliest before we will try to get up in the tree to replace the camera. We will give you a head-up if we can, otherwise you may just see the feed go away for a day or two while we do the install and get the camera tuned up.

Starting our Upgrade

This camera will go off-line on Thursday morning (October 6th) as we begin a portion of our upgrade process. We will be doing some software updates on the computer and some testing with the new camera. We may be off for just the morning, or it could take a couple of days if we have issues.

If all goes well with the testing we will be looking to install the new camera sometime next week. We will keep you all posted.
