The temperature is heading up and so is the humidity this weekend. These guys may want to start flying just to cool off! With that said, I think we are all seeing a lot more exercising of the wings and flapping and hopping...or hovering in the nest this week.

We have sure had some heart-stopping antics on the nest the past few days watching the babies air-hop and trying to fly! It is hard to believe how far they have come in the past 8½ weeks since Faith hatched. Remember the first time little tiny Spirit got pecked on the head at her first feeding after hatching? We were all so upset that she would get hurt. Look at them now. Mom and Dad did a terrific job parenting in such a way to control the early "fighting". We watch them with such joy play, sleep, and eat together without any bickering whatsoever!
We are all waiting with such anticipation for the big day of their fledging! Hold on..there will be a lot of cardio-workout events heading our way as they learn to fly!
What an wonderful experience we have shared with this awesome eagle family...and all of this is brought to us FREE from Alcoa. In my opinion, Alcoa is truly one of America's finest!! Thank you.
