HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOPE!! Good luck with the sound I know it has to be frustrating. Carol

OT:

@beamg....guess what 2 more little cubs sighted!! I don't know about this upcoming camping excursion, I'm thinking the Sheraton Suites will make me feel more.....safe??? LOL rodj, Thank you for the video too. Hope the eagle makes it! Exciting day for me, a book I have been working on for 1 1/2 years is getting closer to a final draft. In reading Larry's blog, I garnered that in reality, no one knows what that little loon egg will or will not do...

ET: @ 9:21 one of our eaglets sure is in a funny position on that branch. Camera went black.

Judith Hart

Thanks Mr. John for information on the audio, I really miss it.

Lucille B

Before leaving the computer I see we have a new thread.
Cindy M: Be sure to read last night's postings that welcomed you to this site. This family of Eagle Watchers is really special. As I & others have said we look forward to reading posts from you. You seem like a positive, upbeat person and we need more posters like you!
Now that there is a new thread, maybe we will get sound back today. Missed it!

Silverh5635

I love watching these Eaglets! They just bring a smile to my face. Thankyou for the opportunity to do this.

beamg

Not sure who is front and center right now but he/ahe was letting one foot hang down and all I could think was "how odd is that?" Kind of looked like she/he was hurt but then the foot went back up. She/he is fine! I think he just had to flex it for a bit after sitting there so long. Maybe? Looks pretty calm right now.

Mr. John and Alcoa, thanks for the heads up on what might have to happen with working on the sound. We won't be alarmed now if you do have to do a total shut down.

Colleen, 2 BEAR CUBS SIGHTED? The Sheraton would be my pick! Good luck with your book! Wow, such talent to be able to do that.

Back to housework. My mom is coming from MI tomorrow for a 4 day visit. She's going to say she did not raise me to keep house the way I've done lately! But, she doesn't have a computer to distract her either. Busy busy! BBL

Tammy

Mr. John, as always, thank you for keeping us posted and up to date. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. Kudos!

ColleenM

@beamg, that's what I thought while I was watching it. Was it hurt? it was in a very awkward position, almost looked as if it's talon was caught up....it's body was turned. But, Ok now. Enjoy you visit with your Mom...sure miss mine. beamg, as far as talent, not so much. Just doing what I LOVE. Always have told my kids, if you do what you love, success will follow. Success isn't always monetary. Re:bears, just found out, one was hit by a car, had to be euthanized...very sad. So many seem to be migrating west.

Catherine

OT

Mavis - I didn't see your post last night re: post # for comment help (went to bed early). I just retired on Jan. 1 and after many years of being to work by 6 a.m., I am still adjusting to going to bed later than 8 p.m. Do you know if Raptures was able to get the info she needed? I know that being able to use the URL to get to a desired post has certainly enhanced my viewing experience. Much thanks to you and so many others for helping those of us without much computer knowledge advance our skills. I didn't post much yesterday as I had 10 windows screens open (that is until my computer crashed with the load). Today I have six open and that seems to be working much better.

Judith Hart

Just looked at the Loon cam and found this information on Larry's Blog about the egg.

Let's take a look at the calendar.

The commonly accepted number of days for incubation of loon eggs is 26 to 30 days. However, with the increased amount of information that we have been able to document for a number of years, the lower end of that range seems to be more the norm. We have seen the lower end of the range to be as low as 25.5 days.

Until the LoonCam, researchers have never been able to document the exact minute that a loon egg was laid and to know within a few hours of when a chick hatched.

The first chick this year hatched at 26.6 days.

The second egg was laid 2 1/2 days after the first egg so you would normally expect it to hatch 2 1/2 days after the first egg. However, because of something called 'catch up', the eggs normally hatch closer to each other than the time between being laid.

This morning is the 27th day since the second egg was laid. So tomorrow morning would be the "normal" 28th day of incubation. And Saturday morning would be the 30 day mark.

Those dates give us some time frames to judge by.

If we reach Saturday morning with no hatch, then things do not look good for the eventual hatching of this second egg.

So we will remain hopeful until then.

Mavis

Judith..do you think the egg will remain viable without incubation?

Will be gone for a while..ya'll will go to sleep watching Faith..cuz she ain't comin down unless she has to!!

ET_________
Who ever that is on the limb is dozing off. wake little one, I don't know if your claws are strong enough to hold you while sleeping yet. Reminds me of my ex in church, sit down for 20 minutes and doze off to sleep.LOL
Last time I looked at the loon nest,it was still one egg, sort of opened and no mama. I don't think they have the same nesting skills as the eagles do.They don't seem to keep track of their babies like our guys do.
In fact water foul are a food source for raptors. In the great design of all this, it is a blessing that they quickly move on in life. We can't wrap everything in hugs and cotton, then we would all be veggies.I almost am anyway.LOL

OT Welcome Cindy M. and others that I might have missed.
Mavis,Mavis,Mavis. You know what I mean. Have you tried Meloxicam and a good pillow top bed to push old Artur away? works for me.

Some one comes today to set me up with a "handler" a few time a week. Gee makes me sound like some wild animal, huh? I am not so wild anymore, I just sit and look through the
window at you guy and enjoy a laugh sometime.
I enjoy all of you and thanks for inviting me in,I just have some dragons to slay on my own right now. I guess I am a bit of a recluse sometimes. Peace and love to all and thanks for the up dates on the eaglets. They will always be special to me,I don't care about the names as you well know,I just embrace the whole nest and love their antics.

I keep remember the song "Canadian Sunset" when we talk about the eaglets travels.LOL
If I was not a diehard Texan, I would enjoy living up there,I just could not get enough of the views, one special place.I can see these eaglets traveling up there and starting their own nest,Good strong Iowa eagle to add to the genetic strain.
It does not get any better than that.

Judith Hart

Mavis, I believe he mentioned the afternoon hot sun beating down on the egg. They hope she'll sit on it during that time.

Elizabeth Rieder

ET---- That eaglet has this figured out. "I am not going down there on the nest, like a baby,I am staying on this limb till the food delivery come. I don't care about those humans that are yelling at me to be careful, this is what big eagles do all night. I am a big eagle now!!!So there." You all that can remember the teen age year can relate.LOL

Don

Thanks for all your efforts Alcoa.

Peggy Wilson

Oh, how Faith, Hope and Spirit have become. such beautiful creatures. And to be able to watch this as it is happening. I am in awe at how much and how fast they do grow. Soon to leave us and soar above the clouds and with the wind beneath their wings. Guess when we look to the sky and look up we shall be sayng maybe that is one of our eaglets this year.

Janis Aston

Thanks so much for the still picts. It gives us a better perspective and idea of what our babies are doing and where they go when we can't see them.

Greta in Kansas

OT
Good morning, my fellow eagleholics! I got all my work done yesterday and was just Too Pooped to Post! ;-) Haven't even read yesterday's posts, but I think I'll just jump right in and start with today!

ET
Looks like a beautiful day on the nest -- of course, I can only see PART of it, because SOMEone is blocking the view on the Alcoa branch. It gives us such a great closeup, doesn't it?

Oma Kyle

Okay, I believe that I have a discovered a way in which we can all safely share our eagle pictures that we take. I started a Share Site on Shutterfly called Alcoa Eagle Watchers and added 7 pixs that I took when I was at the Captain's Table on Sunday. Due to the distance involved, the photos fail to give you closeup details, but I was able to use them as a teaching tool to help with locating the nest along the opposite shoreline as seen from the restaurant. Feel free to add other APPROPRIATE photos to this site, however, please understand that I will shut the site down if it is misused...

Here's the link: http://alcoaeaglewatchers.shutterfly.com/33

Judith Hart

Oma, What a great idea! Your picture #7 turned out fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Judith Hart

Loon is back sitting on the egg.

Greta in Kansas

Oh, Oma, those photos are THE BEST!! And so are you for finding a great way to share them! I was able to use screen capture to save them complete WITH your very helpful captions! I'll print them out and take them with me to Davenport in August -- there may not be any eagles around by then, but at least I'll be able to find the nest!!

Greta in Kansas

---Loon talk-----------

THANKS!! Judith, for posting that the loon is back on the nest. When I looked last night after dark, the nest was empty except for the lonely egg, and was again when I tuned in the morning. I was figuring the egg must not be viable. But maybe... Do you know if either parent sat on the nest at all during the night?

beamg

ET...
Oh Oma, great pics AND site you set up. What a great idea! Thanks for that and I bet soon more pics will be added.

LT...
Yup, one parent back on nest and the baby is there with it. There is hope yet, I'm sure.

I heard a plane and thought our sound was back but it was coming from the loon cam. Shoot. A little more patience is needed on my part. BBL

Kathryn Mellecker

ET Oma, thanks for the pictures. You must have sat at the second table, as I did. The nest is then centered over the white flag. Great view, the waiter pointed out just where to look. I am going back some time soon. Just don't know when.

Judith Hart

Greta,
LOON TALK?.... What the? Are you refering to ME as a Loon?

I don't know if parent sat last night.

Greta in Kansas

OT-

I don't know, Judith.... Sometimes I think we're all a little loony on this site! ;-)

ColleenM

@ Oma, Thank You for taking the time to share your photos with all of us, so kind. What a beautiful area. What a thrill to see the nest and the eagles, just awesome! @ Judith, I think we're all a bit "looney", LOL!! I don't think i could stare at that egg like some do. But, that being said, I understand it. We become so vested watching these amazing creatures taking their first breaths. Our 3 here keep me busy. I "watch" the other nests vicariously through allot of you. When something exciting happens, I switch over. I sure hope there is hope for that little egg.I try to catch the Osprey in the morning and evening's for a minute, they are hyper little creatures aren't they? LOL Well, have a meeting coming up, have a great day all.

Lucille B

Greta, I kept on checking on the loon nest right up until 3;30 am and never saw the M/D return to sit on the egg. This morning I didn't see wither of them there as well. I and others have posted that Larry wasn't giving up on the unhatched egg yet. I got to go and check on the nest now.

Greta in Kansas

OT---------
That little loonling sure is an active little thing -- squirming in & out under its parent!

Lucille B

Oma, Just checked out your photos on Shutterfly. Thank you for finding a way to share them. They are great. They certainly give us a super perspective of where "Our Babies/Juvies" are living for the time being. Too bad we won't be able to see them fly off from this site. What a beautiful picture that would be. Maybe one of our Eagle Watchers can capture F/H/S as they soar above this beautiful area and may be able to post the pictures as you have done! I have to try to locate some of the other photos our group members have posted for us to enjoy. Thank you all for giving us the opportuniy to see Our Eagles Environment!

Mavis

1:15..will you look at that. Looks like Spirit is trying to talk Faith into coming down. He is over there beaking her and he even beaked her toes!! That is just too cute.

Mavis

Oma..your pictures turned out great! The last one...labeled the best pix...if you look close..under the nest slightly to the left there is a little clearing in the branches. I think you will find the OTHER PARENT sitting on a far limb.

That was neat! Thanks for sharing!

Mavis

Judith..you have me rolling with laughter!!

Greta, I don't think the Loon has sat on that egg since last night because the egg was in the same position and same spot since about 6:30 yesterday afternoon. I last saw it about 12:30 am and it had not been rolled or moved when I got up. But during a close-up yesterday, I SAW it pipping. I know I did.

beamg

Mavis, I checked the loon nest, oh about 1/2 hour ago(maybe more since I'm trying to clean and lose track of time), and a parent was on the nest but is gone now. I swore I saw a pip too but read it was nesting material stuck to the egg. I don't know, doesn't look like much nesting material there to stick to anything. So different from the eagles nest, isn't it?

Looks quiet in "our" nest. So, back to cleaning.

OT-----------

Oh, Oma, I just now saw your posting (yesterday) about messaging me on Facebook. I wasn't on there all day yesterday, either, but checking in on FB just now, I don't see any messages from you -- ?? Don't know why that would be. I'm glad you figured out an even better way to post your pictures anyway!!

Mavis

Libby, I'll make the punch and maybe we can slay those dragons together!

Beamg..I saw the parent on the egg just briefly before he/she left again. Total ?? to hatching but I'm holding out a bit more! Just wish they would care for it a bit longer.

Still laughing from Judith and the Loon talk.

Tammy..not much going on in the nest. You aren't missing much. Faith is back up on HER limb again. I declare, that bird will hate to leave that limb when the time comes. She absolutely thinks of it as hers!

RE: Jim's post #289 and the ensuing "turtle shell" auction.
My bid is $50.00 US Dollars - no autograph necessary but will add an extra $25.00 if the shell has eagle bite marks on it.PLUS I will add another $25.00 if the shell contains a light colored, crescent shaped thingy in it. FINAL CALL _ ALL BIDS IN ?

Oma Kyle

Greta, I just checked now and my messages to you via FB are still visible on my site?? Don't know why they apparently did not work their way through the system, but the Shutterfly Share Site will allow everybody to view them and add pixs too if they're so inclined.

Mavis, I'll have to check Photo #7 when I get back from PT...
BBL

Judith Hart

John...I'll up the ante to $150.00...If I find the crescent shaped thing in the turtle shell, I'll sell it to you for $20.00.

John Kinsey

Judith - this is getting serious now - I'll see your $150...raise you another $50.00 and sell you the crescent for only $50.00 ! Anyone else want in ?

Elizabeth Rieder

Osprey talk----
the nest has all three laying flat out in a protection mode. Mom came be with a fish and no one got up to eat. she flew away for a bit then came back with the fish.no body wants to eat! I guess the workmen below on the dam has given them a scare. Mom is staring down at the workmen, hope she does not attack. Those babies are so flat in the nest that you almost don't see them.Mom is staying there with the fish in her claw still giving the men a mean look.LOL

Greta in Kansas

Oma, I posted a question on Facebook asking if anyone knows why I wouldn't be able to see the messages you sent. I'll let you know what I year.

Judith Hart

I've been watching that Loon egg for quite some time now, it doesn't move much. In my inexpert opinion I've come to the conclusion that it's not a Loon egg at all, it's one of those shriveled up brown avocados out of California.

Still waiting for additional bids.

John Kinsey

ET--pictures+++++++++++===============

Oma - really liked your pics - good reference points.

For anyone who might not know: when viewing the album, you can click each individual pic for a close up - then you can zoom in(Ctrl + keys simultaneously) for a closer up view. If you zoom too much, the images become distorted - you can zoom back out by using the Ctrl - keys simultaneously. This is true for a lot of albums or pics on the internet.

OK - Now for something to think about - OMA'S picture #7 (last one) - Zoom in to 150% -locate white camera in tree and eaglet sitting on Alcoa branch under camera-
follow that main tree trunk down and slightly to the left - about halfway down is an open semi circular clearing with a limb at the bottom of the clearing - any thoughts as to what might be on that limb?
I went back to previous pic #6 and that object is not on the limb in the clearing.
Just some food for thought.

Mavis

How many shells can I interest you in, John? These will be for the straight $50, no autograph..no bite mark shells. You can keep the extra money.

Judith Hart

John, Do you know what's on the limb?

Mavis

Hey..John..forget it...

Judith..how many plain turtle shells do you need? What size..what color..what perfume smell would you like? Also I can add bling for no extra charge. 10% discount for 6 or more!!!!!!!

Cherrycarol

I finally got to see I think Liberty sitting at the very top of the tree. I was there an hour & so was she, never moved. I was hoping she'd fly. But my friend got some good pic of her So I hope she posts them soon. I will share. Just like the pic John took. She can keep a good eye on the kids there for sure!!

Mavis

Ya'll..YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION TO ME!!

I'm SELLING...I'M SELLING...I can handle ALL your orders! STOP THE BID..MY TICKER CAN'T HANDLE MORE EXCITEMENT!! I'm not greedy...$150 sounds good enough for me!! How MANY? Do you want them overnighted? NO extra charge for that. I mean to please! Meat or no meat?

Greta in Kansas

OT
@Jim re: the turtle shell: just want to make sure you know we're having just having fun pretending to bid up the price of the shell -- we're not making fun of YOU, though -- it would be very cool to have a memento of this nest!
(You probably know we're just kidding around, but it can be so hard to read between the lines online, and some have said we try to exclude people -- nothing could be farther from the truth, and I just want to make sure you know that.)

Lucille B

Wow! Interesting to see the reaction of Mom Osprey & her babies in the protection mode. If I hadn't checked the postings I would have missed it. Something to see. Thanks to great detailed posts!

Judith Hart

I think that's a crow on the lower limb..I don't see a long eagle tail.....very observant John.

Greta in Kansas

Looking at Oma's photos #6 & 7 side-by-side, I do believe you're correct, John Charles, that a bird is perching there. But I think it looks to small to be any of our eagles. Anyone else have an opinion?

John Kinsey

Judith - yes I know what I think it is possibly IMIO.

Greta - thanks for your comment to Jim - this is all in fun and to prove it,if I win the bid I will sell the shell to Jim for his original offer of $10.00 (plus $199.95 S&H of course)!

Lucille B

Thank you Elizabeth for the heads up about the osprey nest. Also want to thank all of you for the entertaining posts filled with bids for the shell. Great to see that we can still enjoy each other's company as we anxiously await fledging and the hopeful hatching of the loon egg. Doesn't Faith(?) ever get tired of posing for us in front of the camera. But I guess we don't get tired of watching her/him taking front center stage. That eaglet must be a female whether it be F/H/ or ebven Spirit, don't you think so? Would a male hog the camera that way?

Greta in Kansas

Oh, Carol, so cool you got to see Liberty today and got some photos! I keep wondering how I'm going to wait until August to go there -- and the eagles may be long gone by then, anyway. Let's see ... if I drove my husband to work at 7:30 am, I could get to Davenport in about 9 hours....

Tammy

would you look at the talons and beak tearing that fish up?! 2:37 CST No clue who is eating though, I lost track of that weeks ago.

Tammy

John Kinsey, I can't top that bid.

Greta in Kansas

OT-----------

Mavis -- meat or no meat -- you do crack me up, girl!

(and just so my good "regular" friends here don't think I'm being critical of kidding around about the turtle shells -- I'm totally NOT -- I love it!)

(Boy, it's hard work to make sure you're not misunderstood online. ;-)

John Kinsey

OTT===========Other talk Turtle +++++++++++

Mavis - I was going to take you up on your offer and give you a really sweet deal for all the shells (without meat) that you could provide. But since you told me to "forget it",my offer is now only half of what it would have been and YOU have to pay the S&H ! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Catherine

Is there only one in the nest? Did anyone see second one leave?

Tammy

OMA great pictures. Would love to be there.

John K, you are killing me, I bet you are a hoot in person for sure.

Mavis, I can get those snapper shells, but like I said earlier, I gotta up the price because of the hired help I'm gonna need.
Heck, I'd send them out for S&H only!

Mavis

3:59 EDT

Well here's a thought..how many birds are in the nest?

I only see ONE and none on the Alcoa branch..or has Faith moved up the branch. I think that is Spirit eating the fish.

Judith Hart

Anyone see Faith leave?

Bobbie

3:00 P.M. cst
oma kyle
Great pics of the tree where the eagles nest is located! Thanks for sharing.

Tammy

I saw two in the nest, just before my computer went blank because the silly battery couldn't keep up. Bet they are out of sight on the nest.

Tammy

I should have said on the branch. But I think you knew what I meant.

Judith Hart

Must be Faith eating fish, another one Left corner.

Mavis

John..Judith bid $150...I just couldn't take the loss. I thought we were eating brownies..now I am to smoke it too? Ok!

Whew...that was fun. I bet Jim thinks we are crazy. Jim...will still send you one for $10 with a 50% discount for being a good sport!

Elizabeth Rieder

osprey---
Lucille that is amazing how they flatten out in the nest. and mom or dad is still giving the dirty looks at workmen, flying back and forth. She finally did feed them quickly and now they are flat in the nest.lol they seem to know that it is time to hide from what ever mom has decided was danger, none of the looking and flapping of wings. This is pay attention to mom time for sure.
When they are flat like that in the nest you can not make them out, because the spots blend in with the sticks.

Catherine

I didn't see Faith leave. She was there when I got on a little while ago. By the time I had set up comments window, she was gone.

John Kinsey

ET==================

That looks like "Sprinkles" eating and hopping around with the fish - -other one moved to 7 oclock position to get out of the way. I was paused and missed it when only one in nest ?

BBL

Mavis

Tammy..I'm with you, girl. FREE TURTLE SHELLS..$195 for S&H!!

I see Faith is back on the nest eating the few scraps that Spirit left. Hope has been gone most of the day. I figured she would be the one to fledge today.

Mr. John..will YOU know when one of them really fledges?

Catherine

The one is left corner was not there a few minutes ago. At least I could not see it and I have it on wide-screen.

Greta in Kansas

@3:11 pm CDT, Dad (I'm pretty sure) made a brief appearance -- no food that I saw, except what Faith/Sprinkles was working on at 12 o'clock. Second eaglet at 8 o'clock, no third eaglet in sight.

Greta in Kansas

Now Faith? has moved back up to "her" branch.

Annette Kryske

June 7 1 PM PDT I think Spirit is in the nest by himself, & is enjoying the fish that was left. He has no siblings to put up with right now.Yesterday was delightful around 4 pm PDT. Two little ones were dancing as ballerinas with there wings stretched opened. It looked just like Swan Lake performance,
Annette Kryske

Tammy

close up right now!

Mavis

Tammy...I was beginning to wonder what you meant. Yeah..I knew.

You never have to worry much about Faith. She is not going far from the Alcoa limb. Has Hope been gone all day? I haven't seen all 3 in nest since this morning..but I have been in and out.

Getting ready to go help Libby slay some dragons..HEY LIBBY..What's ya address?

Catherine

Oma - Thanks for the photos. It is conforting to see that L/J is keeping an eye out for our adventurers.

Greta in Kansas

Oh, sorry I missed that, Annette -- sounds beautiful!

Greta in Kansas

Dad (?) just brought in a good-sized fish. Whichever eaglet that is in the middle of the nest is mantling over it now. Weather is sunny and calm.

Catherine

From the size, I think it's Dad too.

Raptures are Awesome

Great photos OMA - thanks for sharing them!

Judith Hart

Must be Dad, he looks so small next to Faith.

Cherrycarol

Woooahh Mom just came flying in from the top of the tree. She's hungry!!

Cherrycarol

Oma How can I see your pictures? Greta only 9 hours?? The kids will be gone by Aug. I'm affraid. They will leave in July. Can't u move up your trip? Now that Carol knows where the nest is she'll be back a lot. & she has friends with a boat. That would be the key I would sit there all day!!

Mavis

That is Faith up there by Justice. Spirit got most of that last fish. Hope is the one I am concerned about. Haven't seen her all day.

Has ANYONE seen Hope since this morning?

Cherrycarol

Dad is still feeding Hope I think. I didn't see any other eagles on limbs when I was there. Just mom.

Cherrycarol

woops dads feeding Faith. I'm sure Hope is there on a branch or she might start flying to other trees pretty soon.

Judith Hart

Somethings going on with the Loon egg...just did a close-up....Go look

Judith Hart

LT...It looks like a flap is about to pop off, on the top back part of the egg.

Catherine

By the time that I swithced back to the loon site, they had zoomed back out. I can't tell if anything is happening.

preciliano@yahoo.com

When did the first eaglet hatch. Seems like they should have flrdged.

Oma Kyle

Greta, regarding the messages (4) that I tried to send to your FB site, the only thing that I can think of that might have caused a problem was that I tried (succeeding only once) to attach a photo to each message. Maybe because we're not FB friends, your security set-up rejected a message containing an attachment?!?

Carol, so glad that you got to see one of the parents in the tree this time! You might want to consider adding your photos to the Shutterfly Share Site that I created this morning so that more folks will be able to view them: http://alcoaeaglewatchers.shutterfly.com/33

Mavis & John Charles, you two have good eyes for details! I hadn't picked up on that and their my pixs... Just FYI, I went back and checked the time stamps on the two pixs, Photo #6 was taken at 11:56 and Photo #7 at 12:13 with the others somewhere in-between. As I knew that the 24x zoom wouldn't really be adequate for the distance involved, I tried to 'focus' on telling the story of how to spot the nest from the shoreline. Selected the sharpest pixs to post to the Shutterfly site we don't own a tripod and my hubby should really be given credit for the long distance shots posted as he's steadier than I am at that distance!

Kathryn, we were seated at the second table; you're a good detective! ;)

Oma Kyle

LOL John Charlels, when I first skimmed thru your OTT post, I thought that you were offering to pay in S & H Green Stamps! :D

John Kinsey

OT++++++++++++++++++++

Oma - I wonder how many people know what S&H green stamps are (were - don't know if they're still around). And what was the other major brand of stamps way back then?

RE: your great pics -now if we just had a nest cam video for that day between 11:56 and 12:13 to see who was/was not in the nest.If there were two eaglets in nest and one on Alcoa limb at that time I would be more satisfied with the answer to my previous question re the bird on the lower and far limb.To me it looks too big to be a crow and too small to be an eagle but the difference in distance to the nest could be a factor."The Bird" seems to be sitting in a horizontal position so the tail wouldn't necessarily show.I guess what I'm wondering is if that could be one of our eaglets that far away from the nest - just a thought.

Mavis

Charles..S&H were the most popular. They had one but we didn't like it as much..Top Value..I think they were yellow. Which ones were you thinking of?

John Kinsey

OT++++++++++++++++++++

Does anyone have any screen shots that day and during that time period(and now I don't remember what day it was - Oma?). When you take/save your screen shots the computer assigns a date and time which is recorded on your file.
