Mr. John, Just got back from bowling this AM, & as always,I check Alcoa Eagle Cam, before we eat lunch, & saw the pictures you took of our Liberty & Justice You made my day!! We all appreciate you & Alcoa for trying to make sure our little family will be ok. We realize they will not only be flying in Davenport, but the special attention you give them, makes life easier knowing that you honestly care, and want them to be safe. THANK YOU!!!!
Annette

Mavis

Mr. John...that first picture...WOW! If it wasn't for the lines in it..it would be the perfect picture to frame! That is a good picture. Tell MEC that the world is watching and we (I) appreciate their work. I like both pictures...but I REALLY like that first one! Thanks!

Swolfeden

My husband and I were eating breakfast at Duck Creek Pancake house one Sunday a couple months ago and we saw 2 Eagles flying overhead...I'm sure it was Liberty and Justice since that restaurant is very close to Alcoa. It was a thrill to see them..at a time of year when we don't normally have a lot of eagles. Can't wait for a new brood to watch.

Mavis

4:55 PM EST

While some of us are watching for L and J's late afternoon appearance, I want to share a youTube video one of the Alcoa posters sent me. It's an example of what things look like from way up!! I could only watch 45 seconds of it and had to turn it off so I cannot tell you what the whole video is about. My adrenalin is still pumping! You may have to copy and paste the link below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lZyHCJOqwg

I see little black birds on the nest now..

Cherrycarol

Love the new photos Mr. John especially the first one. The second one looks like the one I took at Sunset Marina Sunday!! Thanks for everything u do & glad to hear Mid American is back again. Thanks for the utube Mavis. I've been on the Eiffle Tower. Awsome. Carol

Judith Hart

Thanks for the video Mavis, now that I'm suffering from motion sickness, I won't have to worry about making dinner.
Thanks again

Mavis

You are welcome, Judith!! You are a stronger woman than me! I could not watch it. Guess it would be real bad if I came back as a bird!! I think I had better start being EXTRA nice!

Barb M

Great pictures, It is nice to see them outside of the nest :) I hope the MidAmerican super. was trying to get supplies for the Grays Lake Eagles power poles!

Judith Hart

Liberty and Justice in the nest at 5:54PM EST

Mavis

5:56 EST

Wow!! Those two are having a quarrel! Don't think they are speaking to each other right now. Justice is carefully trying to be nice to Liberty but Liberty is having none of it and flew off! Liberty sure doesn't appreciate Justice's help sometimes and she lit into him a moment ago. Justice just took off after her. He has his work cut out if he is going to get on her good side tonight! Hope Carolyn got a video of that.

Jo Ann

Some major hen-pecking going on by Liberty just now. 2:55 ca. time. Liberty was giving Justice a hard time about a stick. She can get grumpy. I received my t-shirts and key chains, today. Thank you Alcoa. They look great. Also, thanks for the photos of our beautiful eagles. The first one would make a great print. Have a great Friday evening everyone.

Annette Kryske

Dec.7 2:55 PM PST> Guess who just flew in????I was going to leave my work station (at home)as I thought it was getting too dark & Our little friends weren't go to show up.Liberty just nudged Justice, & it looked like she was testing where she will be laying their eggs. (What an imagination,Annette)now she's fighting with Justice...She's a bit grumpy. He flew the coop,& now she's gone.At least they showed up on time.Nitey nite y'all.
Annette

Jo Ann

Mavis, I enjoyed the video until the palms of my hands got sweaty watching it. I, too, felt a little dizzy. I don't want to be a bird either in my next life. Ha Ha.

Elizabeth Rieder

Great Video Mavis, I liked that last 60ft free climbing,no clips. WOW. Some view for up there. We had a collapse tower a few years ago when they were riding a beam up to the top,two were killed, not nice. This happen down just outside of Houston. Trouble in Bird Land this evening. Liberty needs a happy pill to have such a sweet heart like Justice putting up with her mood swings. I don't know Mavis, maybe come back as a bird of Paradise, they stay pretty close to the ground and they sure are pretty, only problem is the natives are always taking pop shots at you to get hold of your feathers. Peace--

Mavis

Libby...you did NOT have to report about the last 60 ft..I felt my heart racing again just thinking about it! I would rather dodge the pop shots than try to fly!! What a nightmare! Sorry about that Jo Ann..but I did warn ya! It didn't bother cherrycarol...now that girl is NO wimp! I knew Libby wasn't. I AM!!

Sally Glowicki

Mavis...I was OK watching the "climbing the tower" video until they mentioned if a storm hit, there was no fast way down. Then I thought of lightning hitting while they were on the tower. Hope I don't have nightmares tonight. That would be worse than having a snake after you, Mavis. Good night all.

Sally Glowicki

I am anxious for the eagle eggs to hatch. Any idea when that will happen?

Adele

Love every photo of those beautiful birds. Feel like they're my kids...always breathe a sigh of relief when I know they're home safe.

Mavis

Sally, you've got a strong heart if you watched that video. I was having a hard time but doing fairly well until he reached his arm out of the "cage" and I realized he was going to climb out. I thought..no way..and was afraid I was not going to get the video turned off fast enough. I would take a snake any day...at least my feet would be planted on the ground.

If you are talking about the Ft. Myers eggs..I marked Dec. 31st as the 35th day of incubation for the first egg. The second egg was laid 3 days later. There is a chance Ft. Myers could have the first New Year's Day baby eaglet!!

beamg

Mavis, I managed to watch the whole video but also got very sweaty palms and my heart pounded a few times. I wouldn't do that job for a million dollars a day!

I'm so relieved we didn't get snow over night but there's another chance tonight. Someone asked when we typically get snow here. My best answer would be "who knows" since we have had almost blizzards on Halloween and other years no snow at Christmas time with the weather so warm a light jacket is all that's required. That's the crazy weather in Iowa.

I've decided with Mr. John's description of what we are seeing under and around the nest I need new glasses! Seeing the river was no problem for me but me thinking I was seeing the top of a chain link fence when it's a roof top convinced me the eyes are going! At least seeing into the nest is still clear to me. Thanks everyone for the telling about the squabble in the nest yesterday! I guess everyone, eagles included, has a bad day once in a while. All looks quiet this morning, not even any nest swaying going on.

Have a great weekend eagleholics!

Judith Hart

No sign of Liberty or Justice this morning.

Temperatures around Davenport will drop to about 19 tomorrow night. HAVE FUN!
I predict snow on the nest tomorrow!

beamg

NOOOOO! Judith, we don't want snow! Not yet, not ever! Ok, that's me and not everybody around here feels that way. People who have snowmobiles pray for snow so they can take those machines out and have fun. Your prediction could win a contest around here for guessing the first snow fall correctly! Yes, we have those contests here and the prize is usually a snowblower. Guess we'll all find out tomorrow if you're right but I hope not.

Mavis

Beamg, come on over. All the talk of snow put me in the mood for soup. Been working all morning chopping the veggies for my chicken/veg/noodle soup. I'm ready to watch the snow on the cam!! I would like the snow..fire in the fireplace...good movie..etc. I can go days and days and be happy about never leaving the house. It would be a different story if I had to get out every day to go to work. Where I live, I have to turn the air down to enjoy the soup!! What a difference a few hundred miles makes!!

Just for you..I will wish for the snow to stay away until Christmas!!

Annette Kryske

MAVIS.....What time are you planning to serve your chicken soup???? Sounds wonderful!! Unfortunately, we live over a few thousand miles from you. I can almost get that wonderful aroma here in California. I have a Ham bone left over from Easter, & Turkey meat & bones from Thanksgiving. Usually,I make soup on New Years Day.As for the snow, I look east from the Pacific Ocean(which is 3 miles from here),& you can see
Mt.San Jacinto near Palm Springs & enjoy the beauty of the snow.I will be getting on station in about an hour to wait for our little friends,Liberty & Justice. Have a nice weekend. By the way the temp.in Fairbanks,Alaska was -21 high, &-32 low.BRR.

Annette

Mavis

Annette, I don't think I could stay warm, even staying in the house, in Fairbanks! I'll pass on that one. See you at the cam shortly!

Cherrycarol

Sally the eggs won't hatch until March But they get laid in February.

Elizabeth Rieder

Is the snow on the way? Just watched the gang of birds not too little land on the nest and checked it out for bugs then the left the nest and you can see them roosting in the trees near by. Must be getting to some place to hold up if the weather gets bad. These birds were not those tiny one like before, they were specked and had long sharp bills, like a bird that get worm and bugs. Must be a flock trying to get to a warmer area. Hope you all don't have too bad a weather up there, we are going to get some very cold(for us) weather here too. Low tonight in the teens maybe even a few snow flakes, maybe one or two.HAHA Stay warm everyone, and hope Liberty and Justice have settled their fuss and are doing ok.

Mavis

5:28 PM EST

ANNETTE! Are you hogging the cam?! All I'm getting is a black screen!!

Mavis

5:32 EST

Libby..you just posted at 5:29..you were getting a picture...hope it is not just me because I don't have anything but a black screen. What did you do to the cam, Libby? I know it was you...you were the last one on!!

I didn't realize it was suppose to get that cold there, Libby. I think we are looking at 57° here. It is 77° now.

Annette Kryske

MAVIS!!No Way would I hog the cam......We are all waiting impatiently.......I even left for a few minutes, hoping it would show up. It must be JoAnn my daughter in law!!!!! I have to get my little family back to say Nitey nite to them by 3 pm. My day is not complete until I see Liberty & Justice , even if she is a meanie sometimes.

Annette

Judith Hart

It's the camera anticipating a storm.....

Jo Ann

Drat!!! No picture. It wasn't me. The last thing I saw were the starlings. Then my husband and I walked the dogs. It will probably snow and we won't see it. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Mavis

Blame it on Libby...she was the last one! It's Libby's fault!! Actually, it probably is not the cam but the cable company. They may be having a problem. I still say blame it on Libby!

AJ

OK...I'll take the blame. I had a great picture but was about to time out at the 13 minute mark. I refreshed - as I often do before timing out in order to have extra time for a screen shot if I needed it.When I got the refreshed page back,it was just a black screen and has been ever since.Sorry 'bout that folks...I'll try to do better next time !

Mavis

AJ..I was just having fun with my good friend, Libby. She is a really nice person to be a "Texan"!! You are smart to refresh early when you are expecting to see L and J. I'll have to remember to do that.

You sure you want to take the blame? It is kinda fun to get that Texan going!! She posts under the name of Elizabeth and think a lot of her.

Carolyn

I am becoming so frustrated with my schedule lately. It seems I'm either too early or too late and I miss all the good stuff they are doing.Too much going on this time of year. I will do better in the coming weeks. All I have to offer is a short visit by Liberty during the mid morning hours. Hope you will forgive me. Here's the link I have:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPDRLouo4kg&feature=plcp

Carolyn

Come to think of it, maybe Liberty was in the nest today determining all of the things she wanted Justice to do this evening. She likes having things done her way don't you think!

AJ

Carolyn...Liberty not only likes having things done her way..she insists on it !

We appreciate your videos when you have the time but don't fret when you are busy with other things. We know some people have other things to do besides watching a couple of eagles keep house.

Annette Kryske

Dec. 8 9:45 PM ,PST. Am getting ready for bed, & thought I would take a quick check on the Cam. No change since 3pm.
Carolyn, thanks sooo much for being around to take the video of our Liberty.I feel much better when I know she is ok & hanging around.
I am sure the Cam will working next week.Hang in there folks!! . That is what I keep telling myself. Goodnight Sleep Tight To You All!!
Annette

Judith Hart

It's snowing in Decorah, the horses were out standing near the barn.

Here's the link

http://www.decoraheaglecamalerts.com/ie.htm

Mavis

Thank you for the link, Judith. I've visited there several times this morning and I hope Annette tunes in to it.. Beautiful white "Christmas Card" scene. The horse is now gone and I see a dog running around the barn. Everything is pristine and white. I love the way the cam panned out to give us this scene. I just check our cam and it is still out. Guess it is not the cable company after all. Maybe Beamg,Cherrycarol, LaDean, Ruth, or some of the rest will tell us if it is snowing in Davenport. All the Christmas movies, the snow..makes me want to build a fire and turn off the a/c!

Cherrycarol

We r just getting rain so far. The snow is supose to stay north of us. I Hope

Cherrycarol

Judith thanks for that link. The one I was using always said off air.

Jo Ann

Judith, I can't thank you enough for letting us know about the snow in Decorah. I hadn't checked in with them, lately. Mavis you are right it is like a Christmas card scene. I grew up in northeast Iowa and boy o boy does it get cold up there. Take care ya'll. Happy snow and possible eagle sighting. P.S. I called Annette and told her. She is thrilled. Thanks, again.

Carolyn

Oh no! Boo Hoo, No camera for me today! (sob sob). Its okay though I know you guys will have us back up on the air as soon as you can! Thanks!

Annette Kryske

Hi My Dear Friends, I certainly did see the snow at Decorah. A beautiful sight indeed!!!Just came in from raking all those Magnolia leaves that like to drop on the lawn. That is one thing I insist on getting picked up. With the winds blowing they are all over the place. Thanks Jo Ann for calling me about Decorah. Now, I will relax and watch the pro bowlers on TV which started today until April. Fortunately , it doesn't interfere with my Eagle watching & comments.
I really like that a little more. I guess I don't have to take my station at the computer between 2 & 3 pm today, but I will check just to be sure

Annette

Cherrycarol

I went down to the river & saw one of them in the top of the tree. Then he flew off into the fog east. I posted a picture on Other Talk.

beamg

Hi everyone. I checked the snow in Decorah too. It was beautiful....as long as it stays in Decorah. It's always prettier when it's someplace else, isn't it?

I wish I had known earlier that our AlcoaCam is out again. I talked to a man today who has worked on that camera! He has been an acquaintance of mine for a few years but I had no idea he was involved with the cam until today. Small world! He'll be back to work tomorrow so maybe he'll be called on to do more work. I sure missed an opportunity but I did tell him how much we all love that nest and the eagles. He wasn't aware though that we are watching the eagles even now.

Mavis, your soup sounds delicious!

Carol, I bet the eagles are beginning to recognize you. I think a lot of people are very jealous that you get to go there so often! I'm going to have to check out more stuff in Other Talk.

OH! THE CAM IS BACK ON! NO EAGLES AT THIS TIME.

Annette Kryske

Dec.9 3 PM PST. Yes the cam is working & I am on station waiting You all are going to think I am imagining what I see. Upon enlarging the pic of the nest ,in the lower right hand corner, maybe about 2 inches from the bottom. I could almost swear I see the HEAD OF AN EAGLE.I KNOW THE SHAPE.I USED MY MAGNIFYING GLASS. It moves just like I have seen many times. Now it too dark.I will not push it any further. I will check tomorrow evening. I don't think its my imagination....
Annette

Annette Kryske

NO... I did not have anything to drink. after sending out my above message,I looked just now it is
6:50 PM CST, & I think it was just the wind playing games with me, or as y'all call it pixelating (however you spell it)I guess we had a good laugh..Subject closed.I do hope to get to see our little friends tomorrow, now that the cam is working. Thanks to Alcoa.
Annette

Mavis

Whew! For once, Annette, I'm glad your eyes were playing tricks on you. I sucked it in when you said you saw a head! I thought..surely not just a head and no body! Glad you cleared that up! NOW I NEED A DRINK!!

Judith Hart

Liberty or Justice in the nest at 7:55 AM EST

Lucille Bingham

Good Morning All,
Been quite awhile since I have been here, but it was so great to open up to this site and see Liberty or Justice in the nest at 7:50 am est! What a great way to start the day: cam working, eagle in the nest and Mavis & Annette providing us with a good chuckle! Missed reading your posts, Ladies! Gotta check on the postings I'ved missed. Have a great day!

Judith Hart

It's Liberty sitting in the nest with a cold 25 degrees in Davenport this morning.

National Weather Service Forecast

Tonight Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight.
Tuesday Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Tuesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.

Cherrycarol

Good Morning I just missed them. Darn!! Lots of activity going on today & last night by the nest. A CAR in the river. They don't know if someone is in it or not. Let's hope not.

beamg

I missed L&J this morning, too. Darn it!

Annette, I'm just guessing here, but you may have seen what fooled some of us last year. On the right side of the screen is a white spot although it seems to be a little higher up than what you described. We found out last year that there is a security light on that side but it's strangely shaped just like an eagle's head! I can see it this morning. I know you said subject closed but I wanted to share what we learned last year.

Update on the car in the river - sadly, there is a body but they aren't saying if it's male or female. The car has no plates.
BBL.

EaglesOnly

Eagle in the nest, eating a fish. Not sure, but I think it's Justice. First time I've been here to see either one for quite some time. 11:05am CT.

beamg

L or J in the nest with a fish! 11:08 CST Can't tell yet who it is.

beamg

Eaglesonly, you're probably right, Justice. So glad you got to see! Me, too!

beamg

WOW! Didn't take long for that fish to be devoured. That was one hungry eagle!

EaglesOnly

Eagle back, he keeps looking around. Probably had a lunch date and Liberty's off shopping for just that right twig she needs and is late!

Carolyn

Hello again everyone, I finally managed to be at the nestcam at the same time as one of our Eagles, both of us having a spot of lunch it seems. I think it was Justice gobbling that fish up. Hope you enjoy this video of him.
I loved sharing my lunchtime with him!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1F5yPeosXc&feature=plcp

Annette Kryske

Dec.10 10:40 am PST> CAROLYN: Thanks again for the video!!!You do such a great job. I also noted from your video, that maybe I saw some moving white leaves last night, & not the head of an eagle. Haha. Mavis was right, I might have had one glass of wine too many!!! I always have just one small glass of wine with dinner, last night I had two????Oh well you all had a laugh on me. I love it!!!
What would we do with your videos??Thanks again.
Annette

AJ

Annette - NOW .. we know your secret of how you stay so alert and spunky !! That one little glass of wine with dinner does wonders !
You are such a Dear and it's always a pleasure to read your posts . I enjoy the eagles even more just reading your conversations.Keep 'em coming.

Cherrycarol

Thanks so much for the video Carolyn!!

Annette Kryske

Oops Carolyn!!!!Error ,not because of my wine drinking!!!!I said "What would we do WITH your videos???It should have been WITHOUT YOUR VIDEOS??We love them.

Annette

Cherrycarol

I finally got my T Shirt. YEA!!

Annette Kryske

What a disappointment??After being on station for over 2 hours Liberty & Justice took the rest of the day off, after eating that big fish. Thanks to Carolyn, we did get to see them. Thanks for all the supporters comments on my dillema about the eagle with no body ala Mavis.Jo Ann once called me about our nest. She swore there were 2 eyes staring out of the crib, around it.I told her then, it might be some lights installed. We are both "batty". Haha. Good Night Folks.
Annette

Jo Ann

I still believe I saw something in the nest, also. I thought it was an animal or something. I could have sworn it's eyes were opening and closing. Maybe, there is something in this CA wine out here, but I was sure of it. It looks cold there today. Is thata frost in the nest?

Mavis

5:43 EST

L or J just flew in..Can't tell for sure but think it is Liberty..She is digging in the nest..Yep..it is Liberty.

Mavis

5:57 EST Dec 11th

Justice just joined Liberty on the nest. Liberty is still digging...Justice was going to help but she would have none of it. If he is REAL good, she is letting him help a little, but she stops to scold him every so often! Sometimes, I think those pecks we see are not the friendly kind!

Mavis

6:02 EST

Justice just can't do anything right. Liberty is really on his case. Wherever he goes in the nest, and whatever he does, she is all over him. There may not be any eggs this year if they don't start getting along better. Liberty has gotten a little feisty during their summer break. Both have flow off now..6:04.

Annette Kryske

Dec 11 3:)) PM PST. They are back !!!!Am so happy to see L & J. They seem affectionate today. Working together on the sticks .No meanness from Liberty. I was quite concerned , that there wasn't a single comment about them today. They are gone. It is getting dark at Alcoa. My day is complete now, I have seen my little friends. Nitey nite to You Al
Annette

Carolyn

I am so happy that you are enjoying the videos, and I thank you for your comments!
I was able to catch Liberty & Justice at home this evening. They are so cute together! They are such a delight for me to watch. Egglets can't come too soon for me!! Good night all!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FBV6Em71UY&feature=plcp

Mavis

Wow! You talk about two people seeing the same thing but in different ways!! I guess this is a case of a glass half empty (me) and a glass half full (Annette)!! You go, girl!! I like your glass better, Annette! Still Smh and laughing! I needed that, Annette! Thank you.

Mavis

7:58 EST Dec 12th

Just tuned in to find L or J in the nest. Still scrounging around in the nest bowl. No spots so it must be Justice. Well..the nest is empty now. Funny...we look for the spots! What did we do before the spots appeared?

Brrr..kind of cool out...53° where I am but a COLD 27° in Davenport.

Good morning everyone!

beamg

12-12-12 Interesting date!

Good morning all.
Carolyn, thanks again for the videos. I love them! Since I don't make the time everyday to tune in, it's so nice to watch what you have captured for all of us.

No activity in the nest right now but it's nice to see the sun shining on it and the river. Yes, Mavis, it's chilly here although it's now 38°, a nice improvement from 24° when I got up.

Annette Kryske

Dec.12 11;25 AM. PST. Funny Mavis, I was delayed by 5 minutes yesterday when I saw L & J. It looked like they were just working together like I said. But, after reading all the Nesters
comments, I liked mine better. Wine or no wine!!!! 3:20 pm is a little too early for me to have a snort. I really don't drink that much, but if it makes you happy to kid me, I with you all the way. Hic!!!!Have a great day!! Will be on station at 1:45.
Annette

Sally Glowicki

You are a hoot, Annette. Hic!!!!

Jo Ann

Thank you Carolyn for the videos. I don't get a chance to see them very often, so the videos really help. Thanks, again.

Cherrycarol

Thanks for the video Carolyn. Liberty practicing for them eggs. But she doesn'twant Justice touching anything. lol Carol

Annette Kryske

At 3:00 PM . after making my comment that L & J were in the nest getting ready for some action. They have been digging holes . I am sure they are for the eggs. Anyhow when I planned to send that message to you all. I got 503 Alert saying there wasn't anybody to take the comment.Boo hoo. I also wanted to thank Carolyn for the video. I noticed I had actually missedd 8 minutes of I when I sent my "nutty" comment yesterday. All is well with L & J. & me too.
Annette

Mavis

Annette, we all just love your descriptions of L and J!

I didn't mean to imply your comment was nutty in any way! When I said your "glass was half FULL", I meant you saw L and J's 'peckings' in a positive way..like sweet things. When I said my "glass was half EMPTY", I meant I saw the peckings as scoldings from Liberty! I liked the way you interpreted things better.. I am sorry I was not more clear with my comment. I was referencing the comments I had just made before you about L and J's "beakings" in the nest. How two people could see the same thing and think different things..one thought they were fighting, (me), and one thought they were kissing, (you). I liked they way you saw it better....you look for the good and we need that!

Lucille Bingham

Just tuned in, saw an empty nest, but thoroughly enjoyed reading the recent comments and viewing Carolyn's videos. Really appreciate those videos and photo postings on our facebook pages. Great way to begin a day! Thank you all for keeping things interesting & entertaining. And most of all, thank you Mr. John & Alcoa for providing all of us with this wonderful experience. Can't wait for the eggs to be laid and begin to hatch. Have a wonderful day everyone! By the way, Annette & Jo Ann, you both are certainly great additions to this very special family of eagle watchers
thank you for adding your observations & delightful descriptions to this feed.
It's also nice to be reading your weather reports again, Judith. How are you feeling these days and how are all your rescue dogs doing? Missed you while you were recuperating.

Lucille Bingham

How could I not mention enjoying the conversations between Annette & Mavis. You two are a great pair of posters. You keep us chuckling!

Annette Kryske

Hi Everybody::Before I leave for bowling.Hopefully I get a 200 game...I want to thank you all for the wonderful comments.
SALLY: I guess I am what you called a hoot!(I like that)I love to kid around & sometimes I say crazy things. Life is too short to be serious all the time. I like to be happy, and almost always with a smile, even when I am sad at times.
MAVIS: You & I make a great duo!!!! I do love your comments, you can say anything you want to or about me, You really crack me up!!
LUCILLE: You took JoAnn & me under your wing when we first started with Mr. John & Alcoa.Thank you for that. I really appreciate all of you,& hope to continue having a "Blast" with you all.
Annette

gregory

there is a new angle and clarity on the camera right now. i was mistaken about the ridge on the building earlier, but not the water. i knew it was water, but thought the line was a stripe on the edge of a road.

this angle and focus today puts the scene into clear respective.

i hate being wrong, but it happens all too often

gregory

perspective-- not respective

Mavis

2:42..EST

I just check in on the nest today. I have not seen L and J but feel sure they have been there. It is cold out..even where I live. 46° in Davenport with a low of 28° tonight. Judith usually gives us a weather report..maybe later. No snow in nest..YET!! The news said today that all of the upper North will be COLD next week with possible snow in many parts.

Annette Kryske

2:30 PST. Did you see the Starlings (not in the nest, but away in the distance)I could swear there were as many as 50 on the limbs. They flew away, sooo I think maybe L & J are coming soon...Hi Gregory!!!Hope all is well with you. I think I better close this "epic", as they don't always allow much time on the comment feed. Hopefully L & J will show up before dark.
Annette

Cherrycarol

Mavis don't say that word Snow!! Maybe a little for Christmas but that's enough for me. LOL!! Love reading all u guys posts when I get home!!

Jo Ann

Yeah!!! Got to see them live. There was a couple seconds of arm (wing) wrestling going on. Not too bad, though. It sounds like it will be a cold night there. Have a great evening eagle friends.

Annette Kryske

3:00 PM PST. Right on the button. 1st Justice & then Liberty. They are sooo beautiful. He flew, but maybe he will be back. She's gone now too.Maybe they just wanted to say "Hello friends, we are fine".... It's not that dark either, like it usually is at this hour.
I am just happy to see them ,even if it was for just a few minutes .Nitey nite little ones,& big ones too.

Dec. 14 2:32 PM PST Both L & J flew in at the same time.L started digging in the nest. Probably (Oh, Oh, just a little love tap from each of them)Justice just flew out. Now she is looking for him. She has a look like she might be a little sorry for being mean. It must be cool & windy, as her feathers are blowing. They certainly were not there too long!!!!Did anyone see them this morning??? It still is light ut there maybe they will come back. I guess I better say Nitey nite to all. Will sign on if they come back.

Good evening everyone, Just as I arrived at home & got my computer up & running; Justice and Liberty arrived! Wow what a landing! It really made me feel great to see the arrive. I loved the way they were searching for leftover snacks in the nest materials. Here's the link to the video. I think you'll like the landing as much as I did! Thank you Alcoa! without you We would not have these great moments to remember.

Thanks for the video. I usually am waiting for them at the time they arrived, but was a bit late and missed them. This was the 1st time in several days that they were there in the evening before the camera switched to black and white.

Thank you Carolyn for the video. Justice can't even move an inch in the nest without Liberty giving her opinion about it. Oh well, it must be love as the song goes. I checked the nest and it looks like fog, rain or something all around it. Maybe it is snow, or the camera is a little wet. Any ideas? Take care eagle watchers

Good morning all. It's 45° and raining here in Iowa. Looks like rain drops on the camera. I haven't seen any action in the nest this morning but sure did enjoy your video Carolyn.
Have a great weekend Eagleholics!

Another thank you to Carolyn. I love viewing them & then sharing L&J with my all relatives all on FB. I enjoy seeing the videos, after I actually watched them at the same time, we both are pretty accurate most of time. I keep saying they are giving "love taps", & everyone else says they are not. Oh well can't win them all, we all have our opinions. When my kids were little & needed a little discipline, I called those "love taps"Hahah

Eagleholics::::Some of you are not satisfied how their shirts came out. This was an experiment to make us happy, & to see if the shirts would sell. They weren't THAT expensive, some of the $$ went to schools in Iowa. The gentleman who took JoAnn's order for us, was quite helpful, not realizing what a big job it was.Mr. John worked hard on it too, & we do appreciate Alcoa for all their efforts.
