Unfortunately I did not get to attend Bald Eagle Days - but I did want to ask, is the sound working properly now?

John riches

The sound is not working on our primary feed. I can hear it and I know it is OK. We have had a software bug ever since we put up the new camera that seems to impact the audio. We believe we have a solution that should be in place in the next week or two.

jimbob

Thank you Mr. Riches...we all appreciate your efforts and those of Alcoa.

Annette Kryske

Thanks for trying folks. We at Alcoa Eagle Cam site have been quite patient without the sound. We know it will be taken care of,but it seems like such a long time without it. We do appreciate Mr. John's effort to get this done so, " Hurry Up Already".,I just tried to put a little humor into this. Hope you don't mind.

Cherrycarol

Bald eagle days is always a lot of fun!! What a great turn out. Cars were parked everywhere. I had my picture taken with Joe, with my camera tho. Be glad when this cold weather is gone. I think Liberty & Justice are hiding someplace warm. Carol

Eagle in nest 6:34 PM EST

Carolyn

Oh how I envy those of you who are close enough to attend Bald Eagle Days, I'm sure everyone had a great time! As far as sound goes, I'm of the mind that we can trust John Riches to do everything in his power to give us sound. Having sound will certainly enhance this great experience, but sound or not: It's a great place to be!
Here is the link to video, I captured this afternoon around 5:00 pm to 5:20 pm CST.
Hope you enjoy it!

Anita

I haven't seen an eagle in the nest in a whole week :(

Mavis

Anita...for the past couple of days, they have not been seen in the nest that much. The river is mostly frozen right now so they may be staying around the lock and dams where fish is more available. It takes a lot of energy to stay warm so they also may be limiting there trips to the nest. They have been seen in the nest every day..but they are not there that long and their trips there have been few. At least, that is my observation and thoughts.

Ruth MacLeod

Thanks for the video of today Carolyn. I am usually at the computer at that time of day, but today had to be out so missed them.

Mavis

6:01 AM EST

Mr. John...can the time/date stamp be moved up just a hair so it will show up in our screen captures? I was looking through some of last years pictures and it would have been so nice to have that feature on them. Judith said it's there in the lower left corner..but not visible to us.

Just a request...don't worry if it will take a lot of effort. Thank you!

gregory

looks like fowl was on the menu again.
grey feathers in lower right.

anyone see anything?

gregory

i love the new clear picture, but i miss seeing the river.

gregory

those silly eaglets at ft myers crack me up!

they sit upright with their talons streched straight out and heads held high. looks like they are sitting on the floor watching TV.

gregory

ANNETTE--

are you feeling better yet? i know you had a scratchy throte last week.

gregory

THROAT!

gregory

i won spelling b-s in grade school and high--

i am way over forty now and i goof.

Annette Kryske

Hi Gregory, thanks for asking about my throat. It
is ok, just a cough that's hanging on.I missed my bowling the last week, hopefully I'll go back tomorrow. No action yet in he nest today. They came by yesterday after 3 pm, In & out till 3:35.Doing little nest cleanup. The nest was darkened when they left. I did watch the Fla. Eagles ,I was upset that the littlest guy is getting no enough food.,& they are left along for long periods. They might go over the top of the crib.Hope not. Time for a daily stroll. Take care & have a good day.

Annette Kryske

Made a few errors, hope you can figure out what I was trying to say. I should have previewed my comment before sending it out. I tend to type to fast, at ties. Will be more careful next time. So long Gregory.

gregory

Eagle in nest

Ruth MacLeod

Tuned in at 2:00 EST and there was an almost adult on the nest. In a couple of minutes another pair of feet appeared on the edge of the nest and later another almost adult hopped down and other got on edge of nest. The one on the nest moved some bedding around before both left during a buffering periodabout 2:05 and Liberty was on the nest looking around and then doing some nest work.

Ruth MacLeod

Liberty gone by 2:24.

joefromnc

Quite a confrontation in the nest at 3:35 pm est between Liberty and another adult eagle. It lasted only a few seconds but lots of talon scratching and wings flapping.Liberty remained in nest as other adult departed...hope Chuck or Carolyn got it on video.

Annette Kryske

Jan 23 1:20 PST. Eagle in the nest. Don't know which one yet...Eating fish???? Not sure yet.Quite windy though....Had a comment yesterday, after 20 minutes or so, I ended it &tried to refresh, &lost the whole thing. It was all about our friends, & it was at 3:35 Ca. time when I turned off. so will close this comment soon, so I won't lose it. Hope someone will video it,

Ruth MacLeod

Liberty eating a fish. Both she and Justice had been in the nest just before I saw her eating at different times according to Other Talk. She looked around a lot and called out so certain some of the intruders are still around.

Annette Kryske

1"45 PST. I think it i Liberty, & she is finishing up what's left of her lunch. Good Girl!!She was mighty hungry!!Out she goes.I doubt if she comes back later, but who knows."THE SHADOW KNOWS. Anybody remember the days of the Shadow on radio. ,with Lamont Cranston?????

Carolyn

Reading back thru the comments, I can see that I missed quite a bit of excitement earlier. I didn't get the intruder eagle at the nest (hope Chuck did!), but I did get liberty on the nest having an afternoon snack at 3:20 pm CST. She was pretty hungry too! Fighting off intruders on the homefront can make an eagle ravenous!

David

Baby Penguins in nest earlier I was watching, they are about 5 or 6 inches tall, maybe a bit taller

williewilson1

David and jimbob...i also tried the link and all i got was a heading page displaying "Live Penguin Cam – Warrnambool, Victoria . I couldn't find a way to access the camera feed...must be doing something wrong. Thanks for any additional information.

David
