This week we begin taking your ideas for names for the eaglets about to hatch in the nest here at Alcoa. After we get your suggestions we will pick some of the best and create an online poll about a week after the hatching for all of you to vote on the final names.
This year is Alcoa's 125th anniversary. We are a global, values-based company and we certainly welcome names that reflect our long history of innovation, diversity and sustainability. At Alcoa we are advancing each generation.
To suggest a name, or names, just go to the Alcoa Facebook page at www.facebook.com/alcoa Once you are there you need to "like" our page and then you can go to the EagleCam posting and type a comment with your name(s) suggestions. Feel free to share this page with your friends to see how many "likes" we can get for the eaglet naming process. We will keep the suggestions open through the hatching of both eggs. We will then review the suggestions and compile a list for all of you to vote on in an online poll just like we have done for the past two years. We will announce the timeframe for the poll later, but look for it to start about a week after the hatching.
If you are not on Facebook, you may tweet your name ideas using the hashtag #alcoaeaglecam or just post a comment to this blog.
