R L ML

Thanks for the update and the pictures. How they've grown. Have been watching the MN Bound nest with the little babes so quite a contrast.

fran peveler

thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

csmith

Thanks for the pictures. Been watching this nest for 2 years and have sure missed them.

Cherrycarol

Awww!! They r so cute looking out of the nest. I'll be going back over soon. Hope I can see them with my binoculars. Thanks for the pictures. Sure hope u can get a camera up soon. I sure do miss them. Carol

Cherrycarol

It's a beautiful sunny day today. I bet it's hot in the nest tho.

Stephanie

Oh, what wonderful photos! Thanks for posting these, it's nice to see all is well. Can't wait for the new camera to go up. I'm watching the MN eagles as well but really miss these little ones. Thanks so much for the update.

Annette Kryske

3:14 PM PDT. Am getting ready to get back on station to watch our little family again. You have no idea how much I missed them.
Keep up the good work Mr. John, and crew. We are waiting impatiently. Thanks to Alcoa. The weather did this to hold things up..
Loved looking at Glory or Honor peeking out of the nest!

Melinda Ann Mase

Thanks for the pics! They have grown so much

flowerpainter

I guess we could say we are making lemonade! too bad about the camera being lost to lightening, but it looks like the new one, farther away, will give great views of the eaglets limb hopping getting ready to fly.

Sandy Stricklin

Thank you for the update and pictures Mr. John. I sure do miss watching this eagle family, but it's good to see all is well. I know you and your staff will do whatever you can for us eagleholics! Thanks again.
Sandy in Omaha

Adele Cox

Thanks so much for giving us a glimpse of Honor and Glory. With all the rain and bad weather, I was hoping all is well.

beamg

Awesome pictures! Thanks Mr. John! Can't believe Glory and Honor are already visible from the ground and so happy to know they are doing just fine.

Another sunny day here, west of the nest. And so relieved the flood waters are going down. We only saw one field still flooded yesterday in my area so maybe the farmers will be able to get out there soon! I know they're chomping at the bit to get busy.

Currently 35° but should get up to mid 50s by this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!

Bakers In Texas

Yes they have grown so much so fast it seems glad the water is receeding . Thanks for the update and picture we love checking in on them.

LynnieG

They have gotten so big since we were last able to see them. Can't wait til we can again. Thank you for the pics.

Joyce

Like everyone watching, I am so glad for a peek at our little ones. I was worried about the flooding affecting the food supply, but they look like they've not been too hungry. Anxious to see the whole family soon.
Joyce from Pinecrest, Ca.

Sally Glowicki

Loved seeing the two little eaglet's heads looking over the edge of their nest. Thanks for sharing that picture.

Lynn Ziegler

So glad both eaglets made it thru all that bad weather during the month of April. They have such great parents we knew they would be OK but it is glad to know for sure. Thanks for the photos and take care when fixing the camera feed. You guys are awesome for all the hard work you put in on this project.

sandi m

Nice seeing the whole family!

tam

"little" heads?! I don't think so ;) They're huge! wow... thanks for the pics, i love seeing the progress and that they're living their lives and growing, despite our technological issues! :D. Can't wait for the feed to work again :) thanks.

beamg

Hi everyone. It's a beautiful sunny day today although a little windy. The wind will help dry up some of the flood waters but it doesn't do the hair any favors! Currently 64° in the QCA, or at least at my house.

Sure am hoping the plan for a new camera is possible even if it is further away than the current one. Any viewing is better than none and will give us something to talk about again.

Have a great Friday everyone and a great weekend too!

csmith

Thanks for the update. Don't think we will recognize them if you are able to get back to the feed. Can't believe it's been this long, makes those times you loose feed for short while not such a big deal any more.
Hope we get to see them soon.

Good morning everyone!

I haven't posted in a couple of days and when I read the comments this morning I realized that even with the cam down, Alcoa keeps a following of eagle watchers that loves this site. Mr. John, you get the pat on the back for this. You keep it going with your updates and pictures. And your pictures always tell us what we need to know, and, unfortunately, what we have missed! Those cardio workouts would get juices flowing, invigorate the body, and excite the mind. They made some of us aware that we are doing more than just breathing. We ALL connect on this site, even when we disagree, we all connect through this wonderful experience of "living with" the eagles that Alcoa has given us. Hopefully, when the second cam is installed, we will still catch some of the action and thrills of their branching and antics we have come to cherish. In the meantime we will continue to enjoy your updates and pictures.

For those of you in "withdrawal", MN Bound nest has two absolutely adorable little eaglets, Harmony and Peace. Those two seem to be best buddies and stick together, almost like two baby kittens at play. They have just enough 'bonking' and play to keep you entertained while we wait on our fix here.

Hope everyone enjoys a nice weekend.

Jo

Although the MNBound nest's eaglets are adorable, I'm really missing seeing Glory and Honor! Mr. John, thanks for the pictures of the nest and family, but I'm "jonesing" for up close and personal peeks at our adorable babies. I don't want to rush you and please be safe but please, get that camera up as soon as you can! THANKS!! Can't wait to see how much they've grown and their how their characters have formed!

Cherrycarol

Good after noon! Started a beautiful sunny Saturday but now clouds but no rain & 70. So nice for our family. Yesterday the wind was awful. I no they were rocking & rolling! Can't wait for the new camera. Sure hope they get to work on it next week. Have a good weekend everyone. Carol

Cherrycarol

Good Sunday morning. It's going to be a beautiful day today. I checked in on the Ozark eagles & wow they have a lot of there feathers now. So I know ours look like that too. Hope to see them soon. Carol

Cherrycarol

I went over to the nest today & WOW!! I saw 3 as soon as I got to the fence. I couldn't believe the one in the nest looked almost as big as dad. Holly Cow!! I posted some pictures on Other Talk.

Lynn Ziegler

I found another nest that the eggs hatched the middle of March also. So if you want to see about how big Honor and Glory are check out this site www.lotoeagles.com Could not believe how big the are and the wing span on them. Just gives us an idea of what we missed so far. This nest is in Missouri. We all will be glad to see how much our little ones have grown since we last saw them in early April. Take care all and good luck Mr. John and Alcoa with the cam fix/

Cherrycarol, the pictures you posted on NN/OT were great. Liberty and Justice clearly seen and one of the babies standing at the nest wall does look like an adult when going by size. Can't believe so much change and growth in such a short time. You did good with your camera. You should send that picture to Mr. John as it is worthy enough for him to post.

I have been watching a couple of hawks in one of the large pines by my house. Yesterday, my grandson called me out to watch as they mated in an oak tree nearby. Everytime I go out, one of them will start calling out and flying in a manner to distract your attention from a nest I am certain is close by but hesitant to go to tree to see better. Not sure what kind of hawk yet. When they fly overhead, they have a white underside. Living on a farm with a lot of wildlife, I can see and hear new life all around me. It is a wonderful feeling to feel the renewal of all emotions that "new life" brings.

Good morning everyone! Mr. John, that includes you too.

Cherrycarol

Good Morning Mavis I don't have Mr John's e mail. Could u message me on facebook. I will send it too him. Another beautiful day her for our family!!

Mavis

Will do Cherrycarol...

beamg

Good morning Mavis and Carol and everyone checking and hoping for the new camera!

What a beautiful and gorgeous morning! I've already had my coffee - OUTSIDE, while watching my backyard birds! Seems this day has been a long time coming and it's so appreciated finally. I saw a Rufous-sided Towhee while I was out there but of course couldn't get a picture to add to my collection. Like you said Mavis, new life all around and it's such a great experience to be out there watching.

Going to check out Carol's pics. Have an awesome day everyone!

Lynn Ziegler

Hi Cherrycarol. Saw you said you posted pictures on Other Talk but how do I get to that site to see your pics? Thanks for the info

beamg

Since it's "down time" at the nest, thought I'd share this YouTube video. Warning: it choked me up and I had to get tissues! No, nothing sad - just very emotional video of the amazing West Virginia Marching band at a football game. I recommend going full screen and watch for the details that make it special. Enjoy!

Jo

Thanks for the link to the Tribute, Beamg! That was so well done that I had to pass it along to my "list of people," too!

Unfortunately, I can't get to Carol's page to view the pictures, either, because I don't know what, or where, it is! Is there a link to follow to get there, too, or do you have to "join" another thing like F/B, Twitter and the like. I'm not on either one so I have no clue how it's done...and there's so much to do in each day that adding another "Social" site isn't something I'm willing to do.

Can't wait to see Liberty, Justice, Glory and Honor again! Y'all stay safe now!

Mavis

3:42 EDT

beamg, that was a good video. The finale gave me goose bumps. I enjoyed the whole thing. That is one fine marching band. Everyone should watch. Thanks for the share.

csmith

Cherrycarol

Lynn It's on facebook. U can join our group. Just send a message to Nesters Nest & he will accept you. Carol

California JC

Thank you ALCOA and Mr. John!

Could any one tell if that was a mink or something else in the nest?

Semenax
