PST: 12:31pm. Wowie ! Get a move on little birdies. Times a wastin'! The big fish are there for the pickins.
Tried to watch Bella and had to turn it off. So moving but a tear jerker. As the nest turns. It's hotter than the dickins here in the MotherLode. Send some rain our way.
Joyce Pinecrest,Ca.

Jo

They were, just a minute ago, sitting side by side on the lower branch to the right. I tried to post and got a shockwave crash. When the page went came back up, there was one in nest, Glory I think and one on lower right branch, Honor I think. When I reloaded, there was a "new thread" so perhaps that's why it "crashed".

Not much action while I've watched other than the gentle sway of the nest in the wind...which I tend to think lulls them to sleep as it does me...and the two of them scratching at caddisflies and gazing about at their domain.

R L ML

Thanks for the new pictures and all Alcoa has done for us eagleholics. My last 2 comments have posted so will try for a 3rd. The one was off to the left of the nest for a bit about 10 minutes ago.

Cherrycarol

Thanks for the pictures. A nice cool day today for our family. Still sitting on there favorite branches.

Cherrycarol

Dinner Just Arrived!!

Tracy Vigus

I love the sway of the nest also. Comforting. Glad the weather is good for them. It got so hot last year for them. Hope Joyce gets some rain in CA soon.

Jo

Thanks for the pictures and for posting them on the new thread!

Just brought up the site again after another crash sighhhhhhhh almost had a heart attack 'cause although I could see a P in the nest and one eaglet, I couldn't see the other!

Found the other one, hidden on the left side branch below the nest among the leaves. Blended in so well couldn't see it!

WHEW!!

Steve Loyy

"... getting further and further out on the limbs..."

That should be "farther and farther" when referring to physical distance.

Jo

LOL Steve, let's just say they're way out there on that limb and be done with it! ;)

Fun watching them though, isn't it?!

Unfortunately, it's dark now and I didn't get to see our little eaglets...make that big eaglets...before I go to bed so I'm going to try to have sweet eagle dreams of them perched right where they're supposed to be until I can get back to see them! I hope they don't decide to fly off during the night!
G'night all!

beamg

Good morning everyone. Offline this morning. I can say the sun is shining in the QCA and it's 57° at 7am CDT. Hoping for a good day today.

One thing I noticed yesterday is how green everything is outside! Last year was so brown with the drought situation that the green just struck me as gorgeous with flowers blooming all over in my yard! Roses, peonies (red, white and pink), columbine, weigela, meadow sage, clematis, daisies and all that green grass and leaves on the trees - just beautiful after all the rain we've had this year!

Thank you for the pics Mr. John! Hope the cam is back online soon. bbl

kc/arizdead1

oh sheesh... really not a good time for the cam to go down !!!

Deb

Ah I have been watching every day since they were born on my Ipad and today it says you cannot get live streaming feeds on mobile devices. I am saddened. Hopefully this is NOT true. It was a daily ritual for me and my grandkids.

Tracy Vigus

I can empathize wit you Deb! It's all devices too. My regular computer and Kindle say off line. Iphone gives me some Bourbon about video streams. The time for this to happen makes it hard. They are ready to fly for sure. Mr. John will get it going soon.

Tracy Vigus

Well now-- Bourbon is a hilarious Edit for the word "blurb"!!! Perhaps I should have some. Lol

Annette Kryske

7:00 AM PDT RAIN No GAME
I was hoping for a big surprise when I turned on my computer, and there it was
OFF LINE. Those things happen sometimes, but not at this time please. Today, could be the day, and we won't see them Fledge, but then again it could happen tomorrow, and hopefully all will be working . I will not have other bad thoughts, so I'll go and have my breakfast & come back later.

Annette Kryske

8:31 AM PDT. JUDITH: I needed your forcast posted, to tell me of the thunderstorms and horrible weather, that probably caused the OFF LINE! Not until I read the weather report in LA Times, did I know about it. Looks like a rainy day in Alcoa Land, so our little ones will just stay & relax until the storm passes. Glory,Honor,Liberty & Justice have had pretty bad weather to contend with this year, haven't they?

Judith Hart

Annette, I'll go look...the site hasn't allowed me to post the loop radar for some time, don't know why. See what I can find.

The weather looks nice...looks like storms later this evening maybe...Don't think we can blame the weather on the offline.

Darlene Nichols

Well eagle lovers, its SATURDAY........and stuff always happens on the weekend........ugh! Love the new pics, Mr. John........thank you

Jo Ann

Thank you Mr. John for the beautiful pictures. Honor and Glory are beautiful eagles;their names fit them. Mom looks like she is encouraging them. I'm hoping the dreaded rainbow disappears, soon. Judith's weather report doesn't look good. I always check on them at least once a day, especially when the weather is bad. I'll never forget that one storm where Liberty was picked up vertically by the wind. Take care all. Don't go anywhere, yet, H and G. Wait until we can see you.!

Cristine

Jo Ann, I remember that storm, too! Liberty was straight up vertical. So frightening. Can anyone remember if she was still sitting on the eggs then, or was it after Honor and Glory had hatched? Hopefully, no bad storms tonight or tomorrow. Working on getting my garden today, finally. I am getting it in so late this year because of all the rain. My farmer husband is going to have to replant at least one soybean field. So disappointing :(

Judith Hart

Cristine, I have two pictures of her being blown over, the pictures took right after it happened. The first there was snow on the nest and no food....they were still sitting on eggs. The date was Tuesday, ‎March ‎05, ‎2013, ‏‎6:02:56 PM

The second, taken right after she was almost blown over...plenty of food in the nest, they both had hatched. The shot also picked up a yellow tag with a number on it sitting on one of the fish tails. The date was Tuesday, ‎April ‎09, ‎2013, ‏‎11:00:52 AM

----WE ARE ONLINE-----

kc/arizdead1

OH Thank Goodness... I have been so upset for all the regulars over here, they are all such wonderful and patient folks and had my fingers crossed that the kids would still be on the branches for you... I feel so very, very blessed over at Ozark, what with the camera(s) the peeps and the chat, if you visit please let me know you're there I started at Alcoa (so always my fist love)

Jo

Hi all,

Guess today was a good day for me to sleep in! Wouldn't have been able to see anything on the nest anyway from what you all have been saying. The site came right up for me when I clicked on the link so imagine my surprise to read all the posts that said Alcoa's nest was off line!

Thanks to Mr John for getting things up and running again so I wouldn't get all upset first thing in the morning lol!

I see both eaglets sitting on the low branch to the right but funny thing is, this is the first time I've seen them sitting there facing the way they are...facing and looking off to the left!

I can see their markings and size difference even better today. Glory, who is larger and farther away from the nest, has a white patch on her right shoulder and white spots within her feathering. Honor, who is closer in and right next to the nest is smaller and not as many white spots in his feathering.

They are such gorgeous creatures! And I'm very thankful that I've been given the opportunity to observe everything about them like this. It's been an honor to be able to see such things. Thanks Mr. John for all you've done to make this possible!

Y'all have a great day watching "our" little family!

ER

GA everyone, checked in on the eaglets and both are sitting on the limb to the right. One is calling out, I can see the mouth moving. Guess somebody is hungry and want Justice or Liberty to bring a food drop. They have to still depend on mom and dad for a while even when they fly around. Looks almost foggy there in the cottonwood. They are getting close to the big flight, just have to get those wing muscles build up and jack up their courage, then step off that limb. Whoopee what a feeling , wonder if it is sort of like bungee jumping?

Judith Hart

One of the parents brought in some food....the eaglet closest to the nest jumped in and started mantling...The parent ignored the little one and is eating the food herself. Poor little eaglet pouted and jumped back on the branch. Eaglet back in the nest and eating. The other eaglet watching from the lower branch.

Cherrycarol

If the leaves weren't moving u would think they were statue up there.

Annette Kryske

1:31PM PDT JUDITH: Thanks for giving us the forecast(all this time, I have been forgetting the "e" in forecast)Alcoa has been trying to tell me that for weeks, so I finally looked it up in the dict.& I was wrong...Whoops) CAROL: I hope the weather will be nice for your Open Shop today. Good Luck. Hopefully it will be nice on Sunday for LaDean's Photography Exhibition. One cannot predict the weather on these special occasions. Our little guys just aren't ready to leave home yet, even though L and J are ready for them to go. Patience to all of us viewers.

Judith Hart

Liberty or Justice should bring the kids an energy bar to munch on. They need a little pep in their step!

Cherrycarol

And it just came.

Cristine

Oh my gosh! One of them was completely off camera and just flew back into the nest!!!

Cristine

The eaglet sitting on the right branch has it's body perfectly lined up with the white eagle head right now, and the one that flew into the nest is very intent on eating supper.

Jo

Cristine, could you tell which one it was?

I'm seeing them both sitting on the lower branch to the right, Honor with his head in the Alcoa symbol looking like he's got his white head LOL

Gotta go to a funeral in this heat. Dreading it! My back patio thermometer shows 125 today. HOT HOT HOT!! I probably won't get back in time to see anymore tonight so I'll say g'night and sweet eagle dreams to you all.

Cristine

Now that I see them both sitting side by side, I know it was Glory that flew back into the nest after being off camera somewhere. I swear my heart skipped a beat when I saw that.

Bob

Checked nest at 6:23 am Eastern. One was gone and the other launched 60 seconds later!!

Judith Hart

Darn!!!! I missed it!!!
Glad you got to see it Bob..

Judith Hart

L or J in the nest looking around....no kids!

Cherrycarol

O No!! They both r gone. Shoot. Should have turned on the puter sooner. I'll have to try & get over there today!!

Mavis

7:37 AM EDT June 9th

APPARENTLY FLEDGED?!! Or maybe on another limb and out of our sight....wake up Mr. John...pull the cam back! Only one parent on nest...looked around...now eating.

Good morning everyone!!

Judith Hart

L and J both in the nest....

CaJ

6:38 a.m. nest time:
Dang I just missed a snippie. BOTH Parents were on the Alcoa Nest... seemed to be LQQking for The Kids!

Tracy Vigus

Oh darn! I did not get up early enough! Did anyone see anything? 1 parent on nest now. Would have been a great night to cap out close to that tree last night!

Cherrycarol

bOB GOT TO SEE IT. I HOPE SOME BODY GOT A PICTURE. bUT THAY EARLY I DOUBT IT. mAYBE CAROL WAS UP, I AM GOING OVER THERE AFTER CHURCH, I WILL POST SOME PIC IF I SEE THEM

Judith Hart

There's one of the kids on the right, up near the old camera.

Cherrycarol

Yes there is behind the leaves. Must be hungry.

Judith Hart

Great! He flew off the upper branch and landed right in the nest.

CaJ

One Juvie returns from IT's Morning Outing... BOTH Parents were waiting!

Tracy Vigus

Does anyone know why the you've one was / is "yelling" so much? It appears that he is anyway.

Tracy Vigus

This young one is not flying until that beautiful fish is eaten. Good time to jump in the shower!

Judith Hart

I think that's Honor that flew back into the nest...not positive.

Judith Hart

Is it the camera angle? It looks like the lower right side of the nest is sagging all the way to the front.

Cherrycarol

And there he goes to an upper branch. I bet the other one is still in the tree too.

Cherrycarol

Back in the nest while I was typing.

beamg

Good morning all! Wow, I missed it all! I see one young one laying down in the nest but no sign of the other one.

Carol, I hope you get to see them after church and get some pics to share!

Cristine

10:25 local time. One eaglet laying low in the nest. As I was watching, the other eaglet flew in from the right, overshooting the nest, and hopefully landing on a lower branch to the left of the branch, one that we can't see. It happened so fast! Just like last night. What an exciting time! Carol, maybe you can see where they go when they are out of camera range.

Gkeeslar

I have been to the nest site. I have photos. Both are doing well. Have a photo with juvie in a close by tree, parent off to the side of it on a limb and the other juvie flying and approaching from the right. Not sure how to post here but will have on my facebook wall in a little while. All is well for the Alcoa family.

Judith Hart

Gkeeslar, Thanks for the update we all appreciate the news!

Cristine

I do hope that you can post your pictures here, or on the Twitter hashtag, Gkeeslar. I don't do Facebook and am so anxious to see where the eaglets are. Such an exciting time! Thanks for sharing your observations. So appreciated by those of us that are just have to use our imaginations right now :)

Gkeeslar

So has anyone seen my post with the photos. I don't know how to get the link here I guess. I have posted it twice but I don't see it when I come back. Someone on facebook friend me and come to my wall and share the link if you know how.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201273068649771.1073741837.1263720592&type=3&uploaded=10

Gkeeslar

OK folks maybe check the twitter feed. I might have posted a link to the album there. I surely tried.

Gkeeslar

I will give link to Cherrycarol. If you don't see it before then, I am guessing she will know how to share it over here too.

Gkeeslar

Link is here for Alcoa Fledge day. Album. Posted back about 2 comments and will repost here too. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201273068649771.1073741837.1263720592&type=3&uploaded=10

Jo

Still won't let me view it. Says "This content is currently unavailable" sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Gkeeslar

I am sorry Jo. I don't know what to do. Did you try Twitter. I tried to post the link there too. Do I need to put the photos somewhere besides facebook for it to work here.?

Judith Hart

Gkeeslar...I can't see it either, I'm not on facebook or twitter.
On the page with the cam, just below...other people are posting pictures there...not a link...try that, then we can see it.

Cherrycarol

I posted some of Gloria's pictures on Other Talk. I don't know how to put them here either.

Judith Hart

Looks like they're having some showers at the nest area now.

Cherrycarol

Jo it's worth getting on facebook if only to get into our group. You will love it. Gloria they come up fine if your on fb..

Gkeeslar

OK I have uploaded 1 photo to photbucket. Lets see if you can see it. If so I will upload the rest. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h195/glo77/bothjuviesandadultzoomed-6390_zps6a463539.jpg?t=1370807092

Judith Hart

Gkeeslar....THAT WORKS, GREAT. Thanks for taking all the time.

Pat

Gkeeslar...Thanks so much. Photo bucket works perfectly.

Gkeeslar

OK They aren't exactly in their right order but there are about 8 of them starting here. I hope you will enjoy http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h195/glo77/th_bothjuviesandadultzoomed-6390_zps6a463539.jpg?t=1370807092

Gkeeslar

Third times is a char. I wish I knew how to delete the wrong ones. So sorry. http://s64.photobucket.com/user/glo77/media/bothjuviesandadultzoomed-6390_zps6a463539.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

Cristine

Wonderful, Gkeeslar! Thanks.

Jo

WOW, thanks Gkesslar! PhotoBucket worked great! Sorry, y'all, I won't/can't do Facebook, Twitter etc. it's all I can do to keep up with this page. I've sat far too long just viewing these pictures sent but Gkesslar! lol but seeing Gkesslar's pictures was wonderful!

I had no problems going to PhotoBucket to view the pictures. Thanks for thinking of that avenue Gkesslar! Doesn't look like they're getting very far away from the nest but at least they're getting somewhat away! So neat to see them soaring!

Jo

Also, was a very nice "scramble word" that they chose for my post...would have been more appropriate to use Isaiah 40:31 ;-)

Cherrycarol

O wow the camera is pulled out more. Great. Thanks Mr John!!

Cristine

Fantastic "wide-screen" shot of the nest area, Mr. John. Now we can see more of the "action"! Thanks.

Jo

Thanks Mr. John!! I was hoping you'd do that!

MIchelle, Colorado Springs, CO

obviously somebody fledged today. As I checked this morning, there were 2 eaglets on the branch. I check this afternoon and there's 1 eaglet on the nest looking like it wants to go anytime now. Happy, safe fledging for these beautiful birds that represent our country! :)

Cherrycarol

Michelle Go back a few comments & there r pictures of them fledging this morning. They both did at 9:30 am. This one has been on the branch a long time now.

Gkeeslar

I was sort of hoping to see both juvies at the nest for the night hmmm

Judith Hart

Geez....I sure would be tired of standing on that branch after 12 hours. Is he glued to it?

Cristine

It makes me a little sad to see the silhouette of the lone eaglet sitting on the branch in the twilight.

Jo

I wondered that, too, Judith...if Mr John had secretly put some super glue out on the branch so they wouldn't leave LOL

Looks like that eaglet is singing :::Lonely, I am so lonely...:::

At least we can still see one eaglet, for the time being. Perhaps the other is sitting on a branch nearby but out of the viewing area. Who knows. However, I thought they'd come back to the nest each night. Guess I thunk wrong again! tee hee

G'night all, see ya on the nest tomorrow!

Judith Hart

He looks like he's saying a prayer....please bring me some food!

Judith Hart

Jo, You're right, that's the perfect song for him....Mr. Lonely, Bobby Vinton
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5h0c8_bobby-vinton-mr-lonely-1964_music#.UbU26STD93w

R L ML

Some of you have been talking about him being glued to the branch. I would think so, too, but I did happen to see him fly to the upper part of that branch a couple of times and one time he flew to the nest and then to the Alcoa branch, back to the nest and then back to that same spot on the right branch.
Earlier an adult flew into the nest and was eating. He just stood on that branch and watched and never did eat when he was back in the nest.

JC

>>>>>>>>>>NEW THREAD >>>>>>>>>>>

Jo Ann

I'm sad, too!

Annette Kryske

6:54 PM PDT. Honor/ Glory Is on the right branch, if you look way left about 9 o'clock, there is Glory/Honor. I noticed that earlier, but didn't write, as I had things to take care oftime is 7:02 PDT here, and I saw his/her sillhoette & it was moving. If you read this now, you might be able to see the other. There 's a
little opening.

muscle mass workouts for chest

Cut your building muscle 101 12 week strength volume by a couple sets, if you're on number 35, come on kill that tire, hit that low back every time you're training your back. For building muscle 101 12 week example, if you look and what you need to throw up some immediate challenges. Well, your body becomes even MORE efficient at burning up these calories. My argument is, you want to kinda train zones, and one squatting exercise in each session.

what is depression

First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I've had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Kudos!
