Thanks for all you have done this year for us eagleholics. Can't wait for the new cams next year & the sound again. I watch the osprey. They r still around & sure r loud! lol We'll still get to see Liberty & Justice.

I guess now I have to do housework again! I can hardly wait until we have the 2 cameras and a new season starts. I miss seeing the nest and the tree but mostly miss Liberty, Justice, Glory and Honor. I know L & J will be there when the cameras are back online and we'll have another 2 or 3 eaglets to watch. THANKS ALCOA!

Have a great rest of the summer eagleholics!

Well...I guess that is it for this season..hate our last view of the nest has a heron standing in it and 2 more on the side limbs. The thought of 2 cams next year is exciting. To have sound again would be awesome if the software problems can get resolved.

Mr. John, I think you worked so hard this year to bring improvements to the site with mobile device access, zoom/panning of cam...and the 2 cams. You found a way to work around impossible problems caused by things out of your control...like lightning and storms. And...you interacted with us more this year. Many of us will still be lurking around so any time you feel like posting new pictures or have new info...we will be here to gobble it up. We will also be here when you go back online. Hope you can enjoy a bit of this down time.

Lin P.

Thank you for the update and for all your efforts in bringing us close to Liberty, Justice and families. I thoroughly enjoy watching. This year has been more difficult than others but Alcoa has risen to the challenge. I look forward to next year. Thanks again to Alcoa for all they do.

Chuck Howarth

Just a thought for Mr. John, it would be nice if the camera #1 has to be replaced, could you replace it with one that has night vision, they run about the same in cost..

Thanks Mr John for all you have done to keep the cameras rolling on this adventure. You've worked hard, and it seems we want you to work even harder by making suggestions! I'm sure you understand where we're coming from...and I'm sure you're just as concerned, if not more concerned, about YOUR view of these amazing creatures as we are.

Please take our suggestions as just that...suggestions! Not demands! I, for one, sooo appreciates what Alcoa and you have done to give us a extremely close-up view into a world I wouldn't normally get to see.

Your efforts and work are so very much appreciated! Thanks again for a wonderful season...and for making this eagleholic a "happy camper" in the eagle world!

Can't wait til next season to see what Liberty and Justice have in store for us all!

Many thanks to Alcoa, Mr. John, and everyone who has been involved in allowing us a view into the lives of this eagle family. Installing the second camera was above and beyond expectations and is much appreciated. I was thrilled to see the eagles again. There were many students following Liberty & Justice, Honor and Glory. It must have been an exciting day in the classroom when they learned they would see the eagles again. Looking forward to next season.

So sad to see them go. I'll check in from time to time in anticipation of progress being made. Thanks for the tedious work done for our benefit! You are awesome! Have a great summer!

To all of my favorites always posting new info. To CherryCarol, you must live close. It was great to have weather reports. And Mavis, the wise one. Always looked forward to your calming comments. And all of you who posted with joy in watching our beautiful creatures, so created by God and revered in our United States of America. I get teary eyed just watching them soar. I too will check in off and on. So much thanks go to Alcoa and Mr. John. Hey, guy, have a Mr. John's pizza and a glass of suds. You deserve the time off.
I am so into birds now, that just seeing a new bird at my watering trough(an old roasting pan) and watching the Stellar Jays take a drink from the other (an old bed pan from my grandmothers farm in Montana) is a thrill. All I can say is a big hug to all of you.

Just checking in to see if anyone posted and there was Joyce's comment. Thank you, Joyce, that was nice of you and you echoed the thoughts of many of us concering our eagle family and our re-awakening to the wonders of nature.

I was just chatting with Judith and told her this Thanksgiving, we will be commenting again about L and J's nestorations. It seems that time just travels in a circle and we just start all over again. What a pleasure the eagles have been for me. I look forward to the new life cycle and the meeting again of friends made on this site. In the meantime, some of you may want to check out MN Bound nest. Peace and Harmony are quite a pair of young eaglets just a couple of weeks younger than our Honor and Glory. They seem to stay up to something all the time...and the sound..well, if you missed the sound, you should visit there as they are very vocal!

Joyce, if the withdrawal gets too bad, join us on Nesters Nest (Facebook), and we will keep you company.

Good night all.

Just checking in to see if anyone's said anything about our little family lately. I will be checking in periodically just to say HI to all you wonderful chatters and to see if Mr John has anything new to add. Hope all are well! As am I!

Altho I don't know if any of you are on UStream and checking out other nests or not, you'll see me as JoinNV there. Say HI and let me know who you are! Thanks!

Carol C

I went to Alcoa this afternoon & saw Honor & Glory flying around as soon as I got there. WOO HOO!! But I didn't have my camera with. Hi Jo I do look at a few other sites but I don't chat but I'll look for you.

Cool Carol! It's good to know that the kiddies are still in the vicinity and still ok! If you see me in one of the rooms, please pop in to say HI and chat for a few seconds if you can. That goes for anyone else who posts in here, too! I'd love to "meet" you! Thanks!

Just checking in to see if new pictures were posted....and wondering if Glory and Honor were still around. Hope all are enjoying a good summer

Carol C

Thanks Alcoa for sponsoring the Junior BIX race. The Bix race is Saturday @ 8 am & PEOPLE FROM ALL AVER THE WORLD RACE IN IT. Usually around 20,000.

1:00 PM EDT July 29th

Mr. John..do you still see Honor and Glory? I know it is off season but would sure like to know if you still see sightings of them. L and J still around too?

We still check in to see if you posted anything...would love to know if you still see any of them.

Hope you enjoy a good summer.

Carol C

Mavis I haven't seen them around but I;m not there a lot. Even from Moline I haven't seen them. Who knows where they go.

CCarol...I hate that. I know if you had, you would have taken pictures. I just figured Mr. John would have responded if he had seen them. Thanks for posting, Cherrycarol.

Hi Mavis and Carol. I miss them, too, and now I'm missing Peace and Harmony from the MNBound nest. Their cam went down on Sunday at dark, altho they will be opening the SS on Saturday afternoons from 1-5pm (CT) for views, chat and blog. I thought they'd closed it down too early but who am I to complain? LOL

I got on to try out the Sea Eagle's nest today but their site is down now, too. It appears UStream is experiencing problems with their "operation" so I guess I need to wait patiently for them to fix it. Hope they get it fixed before their two eggs hatch somewhere around August 15th or so.

Hope all from Alcoa are doing well!

Carol C

Hi Jo & Mavis. Jo I saw u chatting the other day on MN or Decorah. Not sure which one. I'll drive to the river tomorrow & see if I see anything. I put my extra camera in the car so I'll have one all the time. Humbolt eagle cam is still going but they r out of the nest too & one in the Yukon. They r still in the nest.

I've been watching the YECL Eagle Cam which is in the Yukon. There are three eaglets that will fledge any day. Good camera view of the nest. This might help with the eagle withdrawls!LOL

Thanks Carol, Mavis and Judy! Eagle withdrawal can be brutal huh LOL I, too, watch the Yukon nest! I wasn't aware that one had fledged/branched already, but then I don't watch it daily.

Carol, you probably saw me at MNBound on Saturday...or Sea Eagle on the other days. They opened the chat on MNB from 1-5 on Saturday so we could catch up with Harmony and Peace if they came for a visit. Peace was at the nest on Saturday for a little while. I'd heard that Harmony came for a visit on Sunday and the cam gnome got a video of Harmony and Dad finishing up a duck dinner.

It's good to see the eaglets are doing well and being little eagles! Hope to see you all at the Sea Eagle nest when their eggies hatch somewhere around August 15th or so.

Good to hear from you all! And make yourselves known to me (I'm JoinNV) should you come into the Sea Eagle's chat please! Thanks!

Actually no matter if someone doesn't know after that its up to other people that they will help, so here it occurs.

Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wished to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. After all I will be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again very soon!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective. A llot of tjmes it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. I must say you've done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blo loads very fast for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!

We absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post's to be what precisely I'm looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content available for you? I wouldn't mind producing a post or elaborating on a number of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome web site!
