A casement window with not one but four levels of thermal performance has been added to our premium range of windows and doors.
The new AA®720 casement window is based on a BRE Green Guide "A" rated frame and is available as top-hung or side-hung and either internally or externally glazed. It incorporates Kawneer’s latest Reflex thermal break technology which is applied to the polyamide thermal breaks to give additional thermal improvements and reduce heat transfer through the profile.
The AA®720 casement's four thermal levels include the most cost conscious AA®720 HW, the AA®720 HI, the AA®720 HI Reflex which incorporates Reflex technology within the vent and frame profiles, and AA®720 HI ReflexPlus which also includes a low "E" heat shield centre seal for the greatest thermal capabilities.
The AA®720 range, which is anticipated to be future-proof beyond 2016, already comprises a full inward-opening window suite including tilturn, tilt/slide, bottom-hung and side-hung windows. A vertical and horizontal pivot, extensive inward and outward-opening door package and a fire-resistant door and fixed light also help to make the range capable of satisfying the most demanding specifications.
Our most flexible product range to date, AA®720 is set to outperform the anticipated requirements of the 2013 and 2016 Part L amendments to Building Regulations. The new casement window achieves U values as low as 1.0 W/m2K (for a CEN size window with a warm edge spacer) with the addition of a low emissivity reflective heat shield.
It offers market-leading weight capabilities for a top-hung window. With a capability of up to 130kg, high performance acoustic and/or security glass applications can be easily accommodated within the standard window without additional reinforcements or fabrication requirements.
