On Tuesday, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner took to the skies at the Farnborough Air Show. As aircraft like the 787 constructed from multiple materials become more prevalent, Alcoa’s most advanced, proprietary solutions are critical to making these highly complex aircraft possible. These innovative solutions help make the 787 the third highest revenue plane for Alcoa in the entire Boeing fleet.
Craig Brown, vice president of global aerospace customers and marketing for Alcoa Fastening Systems, discussed the fastening technologies that make the 787 possible while in the Alcoa booth at the Farnborough Air Show.
