A talented group of artists has found a creative way to recycle aluminum: by making the world’s most recyclable material the centerpiece of a performance show.
“The Aluminum Show” is an original creation of visual theater featuring a cast of athletic dancers and performance artists, reminiscent of Blue Man Group. The show uses dance, music and movement to bring silver industrial materials – including metal puppets, dancers, foil balloons and giant metal shapes – to life with energy, emotion and personality.
The show’s costumes and props are manufactured with aluminum sheets, tubes, pipes and other materials that have been recycled at factories that would otherwise dispose of them.
“The Aluminum Show” has been performed internationally since 2007 and finally reached the United States in January 2010. After a successful run in New York, North Carolina and Florida, the show is headed to Kansas, Missouri, Wisconsin and Ohio. Click here for the complete schedule of performances.
