Between the 75th anniversary of the beer can and a feature in Bon Appétit magazine, there’s been a lot of talk recently about the virtues of the aluminum beer can.
But who was the first American craft brewer to fully embrace the aluminum can?
It was Oskar Blues, an award-winning Colorado craft brewer that began selling Dale’s Pale Ale in aluminum cans in 2002. Since then, nearly 100 microbreweries around the world have followed suit.
