The latest surveys from the Aluminum Association show a 10.7% increase in the reclamation of used beverage cans in February 2010. The figures show that 90.4 million pounds of used beverage cans were reclaimed in February, compared to 81.6 million pounds in January.
The figures represent a 3.9% increase compared to February 2009.
For the year, a total of 172.0 million pounds have been reclaimed. That is down 13.5% from 2009.
