There is more than one way to recycle an aluminum can. A high school senior from southern Pennsylvania proved that recently with a creative dress design.
Khyrsten Hrubovcak showed up at the Penn-Trafford prom donning a red and black dress covered in more than 7,000 aluminum can tabs. She complemented her dress with an array of aluminum-tab accessories, including a necklace, bracelet, earrings, purse and tiara.
Her date wore a tie covered in aluminum can tabs to match the dress.
The dress was created as a tribute to Khyrsten’s aunt, who died from breast cancer. She plans to donate the tabs to the Ronald McDonald House to recycle.

As one who was long active in the Aluminum, I admit this is very great and creative. And this is very inspiring for me to try to optimize the recycling of products from aluminum. Oh yes I wrote about some of Alcoa's products here: http://aluminium-products.blogspot.com/2010/05/reynobond-aluminum-composite-panel.html

How innovative. And after the prom, she can still wear it as armor!
