When is a Green Job Not a Green Job?

"There is difference between green jobs in the recycling industry and the taxpayer-subsidized green jobs," says Steve Larkin, president of the Aluminum Association.  While both reduce raw material use and encourage conservation, recycling industry jobs are also profitable and pay out millions of dollars to consumers without using taxpayer money.

Want to create green jobs that benefit our economy? Encourage recycling. The more consumers, schools and businesses recycle, the quicker green jobs are created without public investment.
