It is another breezy day here at the Narrows dam with temperatures in the low 80’s. With weather like this Oliveea doesn't have to worry about her babies getting too hot. When temperatures are high, Oliveea will shield her chicks with her wings. This allows them to stay cool in the shade! Oscar brought in some fish this morning and all five were in the nest – what a nest full that was!! This is the first year Oliveea has had triplets. In years past she only had two chicks to tend to and feed.
In effort to give you all a better view of the osprey family, we have zoomed out the camera. What you do think?
I like this new view better.
