I have seen them all fly now and they do so well. As a mother, it is rather sad to see the end of this story even though I know it is the way of nature. I am beginning to watch the nest at Cornell University, the chicks are over a week old.

What are the new black tubes/pipes atop the turbines? They just appeared a couple of days ago.

The nest is empty, I can't stand it. Hopefully, they will return to sleep or shelter from a storm.
