A perfect name for this baby, I still can't believe that not only an egg hatched but that mom and dad turned out to be wonderful parents. Truly a MIRACLE !!!

Thank you so much for allowing us to vote for this wonderful chick. It has certainly been a MIRACLE that he even survived in the early days. Now it is a MIRACLE that he survives injury when the parents are stepping all over him while they are constantly rearranging the nests contents. It is also a MIRACLE that his parents finally caught on and turned out to be super parents. Thanks for your wonderful coverage.

Mom's silhouette is at the upper left side of the nest.
She is trying her best to sleep but can only accomplish mini-naps :-(

LOL CherryCarol. I watched her move that HUGE stick around and on top of baby. I was hoping it would go over the side, and finally it did! She seemed happy without it. Its so cute the way dad sometimes brings small fish, it isn't enough for both, so she screeches at him and soon he brings more! Heh, heh henpecked. Also watching Stanley and Iris in MT. Stanley is bringing in food for four, plus himself. Awesome job he does. This dad here will learn all that one day.

MIRACAL GETTING FED AGAIN. SURE IS GETTING BIG!
I've watched the MT one also. # to feed & doing a good job. There nest looks more like an eagles nest.

mom is perched at the upper left corner of the nest. You can see her side profile. She isn't dozing at all.
Sun will be up at 607am.

.....mom is in full mombrella mode.....MIRACLE and both parents have been a very interesting and heartwarming saga.....its been a scary process to watch them develop and to watch their instincts emerge......but aren't we lucky to be observers ?

Yes we r Darlene. Thank you Alcoa. Carol
June 27, 2014 at 07:00 PM
Hi Alcoa, well this family are precious aren't they? But please consider for next season a nicer platform, maybe one of those upmarket mesh ones so that those storms cant whip it off the pole, its such a windy spot sometimes! The sticks get blown off so much.

Congratulations, Miracle, on your new name.
You are growing into a beautiful osprey; and it's a joy to watch you grow.
Best wishes to our osprey family
Blessed weekend, everyone

Seems like a distant memory when I kept worrying about little "Miracle" being fed..
Now it seems every time I stop by he/she is eating :)
What an interesting..educational and emotional journey it has been..

mom is in her usual place...upper left hand corner of the nest, facing toward the cam. Possibly the chick is nestled underneath...too dark to see.

I have just noticed what looks like another egg in the nest. Has it been there all the time?

mombrella time again. It has been 5 days since i am able to see the chick during the daytime hours and has grown so fast.
It must be in its growth spurt phase and doing well. Its white stripe on the back is almost gone and pin feathers are appearing.
It is terribly hot as both are panting. Hopefully dad will do another delivery
245pm a boat zips by and mom sounds an alarm.
